In just over 3 years, his company has lost almost 85% of its value. After he sold a large chunk of the business (losing his controlling interest) a couple weeks back, it dropped about 15%. I don't think he'll have much choice in the matter soon.

Ralph too will have learned a lot from this game..........He went after it with poor choices perhaps and paid the price. In other words probably exactly what Cardiff wanted and waited for. As much as the players are learning so is Ralph about this league.!!

I suspect Gao is servicing debt with anything he can get out of the club leaving us with a minimal football budget. We shouldn't have no money to spend, but I think that is the case. If Austin had gone on loan, we may have seen another striker coming in.
Are we paying big chunks of Carrillo and Boufal's wages still? That would also reduce our potential playing budget under current ownership.
I'm not arguing that the board didn't let us down again in this window, I just think they had no choice as it stands

Thankfully it's only the 9 January. We've still got three weeks of the transfer window.

Even our board can't be as stupid to once again totally mess up a transfer window. They aren't going to fail to strengthen us yet again - and more than that, actively make our squad worse, by offloading players and not replacing. We can't be left with just five senior forward attacking players, three of whom are Long, Ely and Austin. Doing all that will just lead to relegation. The worst transfer window of them all, that would be. And boy we've had some stinkers already.

We've amassed more and more ****s in recent years in the same period as self entitlement has risen (not saying it's necessarily linked).

This sort of **** should come down to self policing imo.

I agree with the views of Long. He was absolutely awful today - and by his standards, that's saying something. And it's made worse by the fact that it didn't even involve him missing chances, which is usually his primary downfall.

But I'm not at all convinced by the argument that Austin would have been a better choice. There was nothing I saw which made we wish for Austin. Just like I wasn't wishing for Ely. I'm not sure Ralph got it wrong today (I was fine with bringing Vestergaard off, because we needed a goal and Vest is the worst of our CBs in a back four), I just think he had an absolute bag of rubbish to pick from. And particularly given Ings' injury issues, that won't be the last time this season. None of them should be playing for an established PL side.

Someone shouted “you’re going down with your striker” near me - it actually got a few laughs.
Can’t be self righteous though, I’ve been to a Frankie Boyle show

TBH - Long and Ely should not even make the bench. Thought the back four (excluding Vesty who is ****e) played well. The midfield struggled to string passes together. Cardiff have momentum since the tragic incident that may well save them, sadly for reasons that need no explaination and the same strangely for what has happened.

We still have so much to do to survive, we need a fully fit Ings back ASAP, and RH, you saw Vesty **** up in the last encounter with Cardiff, please replace with Maya, 1.96 tall and he cannot win a header if his life depended on it.

Burnley now 2-0 up. What a fantastic day of football.

With regards to players we have on loan, how does it work in regards to getting them back? Can they be recalled or does it not work like that?

We have no chance of bringing any of them back - why would we want to?

Once you named your 25 at the end of Jan you can't make any changes. The only time it would be worth getting a loanee back is if he's U21 as they don't count in the 25.
