I think he did. That doesn't make it a good window. Sadly, it makes it the best window we could manage. The best window we could manage being a total disaster.
You know very well what I was talking about. I’m not looking for a row mate, just people get classed as negative for having s difference of opinion. It’s all a bit **** really if that’s how it is
Of course there is disappointment........we made a hash of that no doubt. Give us time and we will all be ecstatic with the team again. Take the good with the bad.
Cardiff have now done the double over us. I am positive and think we will be ok. I have read posts on here over the last Month saying we will definitely be safe. Make no mistake we are in a relegation fight.
Guess I'm going to have to do another relegation run-in thread this year, heh. As a preview: we have one of the hardest remaining schedules of any side in the PL. Also, we're going to have to get used to cheering for Brighton; they play damned near everyone in the bottom third in Feb/March.
Wait... we don't watch for football for realism. We watch it for escapism. I open those "bill" envelopes for realism. Sometimes, however, watching Saints feels a lot like getting post marked "TAX".
Despite much better performances of late, I did mention when Hughes was sacked that it didn’t matter who came the squad is totally inadequate for the task. That was then, though I’m generally more optimistic now, I’m still of the opinion that we will only just escape the drop but we’ll be relying on other teams as well I fear. We’re just about good enough but frankly something major has to happen in the summer with transfers in and out. Season ticket holders will be weighing up the situation no doubt very shortly if things don’t show signs of change. Let’s hope Ralph has got enough clout and force of personality to bring this about. The effort of many players is better but still short of requirements.
But they've got no quality...if passion is all it takes then Saints need to hire a hypnotist rather than a coach
Who are you, Nigel Adkins? You're right of course Beef, I'm just pissed off that we still can't put rubbish to the sword when we need to. I guess as long as we are hamstrung by having Long and Charlie as our main striking options then we will always make hard work of it.
