    Just saw SSN with Joey Barton being involved in the squad photo. They all had to wear hats, something to do with Formula 1, and they had to throw them in the air. He then turned to whoever was on his right and started laughing.

    It was a forced laugh. Yeah, lets throw some caps in the air and have a right ****ing giggle.

    I miss him, and he clearly misses the decent craic of SJP.

    Just over 50 to go by the way for those who know what I mean!

    Did you see his tweets earlier about Jay Bothroyd wearing Ugg boots? One of the lads cut them up <laugh>

    Pardew couldn't make it much plainer really could he, I don't think he's a happy chap at present. I think Joey being jettisoned and the lack of a striker was probably two negatives too far. Nevermind. Whats gone is gone so lets use what we know about Barton against him. The trick with the new Joey is to not give him the pleasure of getting involved in trying to get him sent off. He has become very adept at turning this round on people. He'll be desperate to play well and I have no doubt he'll do ok but what we need is Cabaye to harry him and stay tight when they get the ball. We must not let him pick up easy ball from the centre backs if he is playing central. This will force them to go long and Colo/Tayls can lap this up. I actually worry less because I believe their intention will be for him to play central where I think he is less effective. He's a right midfielder for me although I'm not sure he'd fair well against a hard working Jonas anyway.

    There is a lot of mixed opinions on Barton, but this move on, concentrate on beating QPR on Monday and having the last laugh.
