Serious question, do you ever consider trying to put a different twist on the tracks you cover instead of delivering a watered down version of the original?

I thought the question I asked last night was perfectly reasonable. The response was a bit pathetic to be honest. Got a like though.

It was a decent question. My band play a few covers, but we put our own twist on it as I don’t see the point of trying to recreate a song note for note and never being able to emulate the original.

Also, there’s the danger of absolutely murdering the original if the band aren’t competent enough to pull it off.
