Things are tightening up with teams like West Ham and Villa all having picked up some decent results lately. I still think the bar codes will be safe as their goal difference is worth another point to them and it would take a catastrophic run of results to reverse this. Still, here's hoping.

hope so after their wumming and whinging deserve to go, used to have a feeling for them years ago, like to see them do well as a north east team, but they got to big for their boots, thought they had a god given right to the prem, and Sunderland were the poor cousins and gave us no regard, Think Ashley wants the parachute payments for a few years till he gets back on his feet with the club then who knows from there, But now we have the bragging rights and i love it for a change. I also think if they go down he can blame it on Carroll, to save his hide
Evening all, I just can't see them getting relegated as there are far worse teams in this league than them, i'm sorry to say. Still the three 'W's' for me Wolves, Wigan & West Ham
Agree with Sunderlad, Can't see them going down- but I would throw West Brom in the mix there too ( 3 of 4 W's), even tho they started so well. I feel sorry for MM - good scapping side that let themselves down in the latter stages of most games - rings a bells from a few seasons ago. KTF
Would love to see it happen; another year or two down below should teach them to eat humb;e pie, but can't really see it happening. Finger crossed though
This is a team who destroyed Sunderland on two occasions this year chaps, surely to tip us for relegation is to make a mockery of your own club?
can't see them going down, but you never know i suppose, nice to see them bricking it because where are the goals going to come from? wolves look certainties, maybe wigan and god knows who else. the more i think about it the more i believe it could happen, well we can all hope can't we?
Troll person.... A season is not defined by two results remember beating Man U 5-0 you's have bleated about that for years, now who won the leage that year, hmmm...
No, not defined, but it certainly was a lot of craic listening to all the "DURR EASY 6 POINTS OFF NEWCASTLE HURR" then seeing you all get totally humiliated and played off the pitch.
Poor deluded Geordie's. All they have is one win against little old Sunderland, a relegation fight with no strikers and a calendar they can't use.
In the summer we'll have basically the same as Sunderland (premiership mediocrity, no European football) plus a hefty wad of cash
And there's the difference me old chum. I gave you facts and the best you can do is speculate on the season's outcome. By the way you've got more chance of seeing AC in the big market as you have seeing that money again.
