His skills!!!! He handballed it. Does he not know that's a free kick or a penalty when committed in the box.
Jesus, I hope he works on his fitness....does a couple of keepie ups and he's knackered so has to come up with some ****ty excuse to pick a scarf up and hand it to someone to catch his breath !!
Couldn't give a **** if he was struggling with the keep ups. If he's banging in free kicks, picking out inch perfect crosses and passes and generally being a nightmare to play against I'll forgive a failed attempt to freestyle. Keep ups are for free stylers who cannot pass a ball to save their lives.
Most likely. I don't think I've been this looking forward to a game since we signed HBA if I'm honest. There's an air of anticipation that finally we may see some creativity in our play and that we have someone who can lift the crowd and get them off their seats. Kenedy seemed to make an immediate impact this time last year then it went a bit off the boil...i'm hoping for a similar start for Miggy.
Anyone else think he will come on and their players will give him the old "hit him as hard as you can to let him know your there" because he is a skinny fanny and he will get crocked for 8-12 weeks.
I can see fans getting frustrated that he's being eased into the team. Thing is he hasn't played a competitive match for 2 month and Rafa will want to bulk him up a bit (as he's already told Almiron) I think it will be a slower integration, which is why Rafa wanted him far earlier in the window.
****ing hell he's got a touch like Shipman looking at that vid He'll be fine and we will see the best of him next season. It'll take him 6 months to get up to speed. Rafa would have liked him in the summer to benefit us in the 2nd half of the season but it appears a deal wasn't possible then without paying over the odds. We've got the guy the manager wanted eventually. I just hope Rafa is sensible in the summer and doesn't create a massive stink again kicking off about money. Hopefully he has learned from that like he has with his approach to the top 6 teams. I think he spreads it all too thin anyway and would now be better off focusing on 1 or 2 signings of big quality to improve us. We have a nucleus of solid players, its quality we lack. The players who make the difference like Almiron. Rafa has to be sensible and understand we don't generate enough money, or have a lavish owner to meet all his needs in one window. Therefore he needs to plot a longer less steep trajectory. If he's smart and buys good age players like Almiron, we will get there over time.
Or ask yourself when has Rafa stated he wanted everything sorted in one window and then wonder why would you speculate that he might do that. Or ask yourself how many windows has Rafa been through whilst here and then ask how many of them has Ashley properly backed Rafa in.
That was the problem we had with Rafa. He’d buy 5-6 players for £10m to bulk out the squad after selling 5-6 for £5m so unless some of them surprised you and turned into very good players, you were never really improving the first team. Some of it was down to a need to sell to buy but I do think that seems to be his style a bit as well. Best way way to be successful with long term planning is to buy 1-2 quality players for big money to improve first team and squad naturally improves then. Problem is that’s relying on you keeping your best players which unfortunately in your current situation may not be as easy to do
