They aren't thick, they're the outer layer. I've got one, wear it day to day and as ski coat, hill coat etc. This is more reasonably priced though; https://www.tauntonleisure.com/rab-mens-downpour-plus-jacket.html
Yeah I quite like them, just every roadman in the world rocks around in them. There was another brand similar that I'm sure someone mentioned on here before but I can't remember the name of, began witth an A I think.
I got a Bonfire jacket a few years back, top quality better than North Face imo. https://bonfireouterwear.com/
What does the sizing come up like on those jackets mate ? Run true or a bit smaller like a lot of technical gear ?
They seem to be right to me. Mine's an XL, plenty room for a gillet underneath etc. Layering essentially. Was/is perfect for skiing in that respect. Got he lift pass pocket on the wrist (season tickets fit neatly in there too), snow skirt to zip in, pit vents. Leak and bomb proof too, their gear is superb.
Good. I'm an XL too. Some of the clobber I've seen advertises XL as a 40" chest ffs. Gear designed for skinny ass rock climbers.
Just got one of these, light, cheap n cheerful. Paid £10 for it. Was on sale. Perfect for just popping out walk dog etc. It's 32 degrees branded. Have some nice coats n that. Just needed summat simple
