I'm curious... If Janssen is deemed fit enough and makes this weekends squad against Leicester and we find ourselves needing a goal with 20-30 minutes remaining, who would you choose to come on: Lamela or Janssen?
My question wasn't really about which sub but more about forwards. So if our only attacking options were Janssen and Lamela, who'd you pick? Admittedly, it's a loaded question which I make no pretence about.
Lamela had that streak of important goals and assists back in August/September which technically puts him ahead of Janssen, but since coming back from injury his main contribution to the team is to run around kicking people - albeit in their half, thus reducing the odds of a Trippier/Lloris brainfart from the resulting free kick
It would depend on who we were taking off, for me. Is Llorente already on the pitch? Are we getting balls into the box? Pochettino brought on Rose to get us a goal against Newcastle and it worked.
I would have thought we'd hold a pre-season tournament at the new stadium as a curtain raiser? Oop sorry forgot.... we'll be in the new ground before then, won't we!
