The MASSIVE rule change which could affect Liverpool in the Champions League next season UEFA could remove the rule from the Champions League and Europa League next season, with the Reds having fallen on both sides of it over the years https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...ews/massive-rule-change-could-affect-15792974
No incentive to attack now which was the point of away goal rule. Eufa and fifa always ****ing about with the rules, idiots.
This is what annoys me with the press. The headline is completely over the top. This rule change will not only affect Liverpool. It will affect all teams. What is so special or unusual in Liverpool's performance that we could be massively affected? It will no longer favour those who play a more adventurous game away and try to score a goal. But all teams could rectify their approach slightly to take that on board.
Have to agree. there will be a glut of 0-0 away form home results and the games will be awful. all first legs will be played this way, get it down to one fixture and especially if you are at home second leg. The advantage of an away goal in first leg is massive, it sets up the second leg totally differently.
Same as getting rid of golden goal. That made extra time interesting, now it's a stalemate till penalties. Hence we will see it phased out completely and games will go straight to penalties after 90mins
IMO extra time is a means to avoid pens but in actual reality these days pens are more desirable as an outcome for both fans and TV. there's more drama for fans even if its a lottery at times. TV hate 30mins then pens as it ****s up their precious schedules I mean ok players should have 120mins in them but after running 13km say to be asked for another 30mins its inevitable the game is **** for 30mins. The problem for us is that when you go to a tournament or neutral ground now **** sides that are negative have a) no away goals to force their hand b) no extra time so its only 90mins 0-0 then pens. If they did this in world cup it'd be a borefest As it stands the queue for mourinhos services in CL is round the block! hell sides are probably lining up tony pulis right now.

Golden goal was a very **** and brief idea. It made both teams extra cautious do rarely anything exciting happened
Spurs stadium: They have now confirmed they won't be in there until at least after arsenal fixture on march 7th. this leaves quite few games. should they even be allowed use it this season then? My view is its gone beyond a joke at this point. they have gotten 1 safety event done but need 3. My view is that for the remaining fixtures: Palace brighton Huddersfield West ham Yes they'd only have 4 games left... they should pay the wembley fee and keep on trucking. Its not like they won't easily win all 4 anyway. They should be then deduced 10 points for their stupidity and be forced to keep pochettino and kane for ever.
Second part is def fake. Can tell by the ball movement at the end. The speed it hits the van doesn’t match the speed the rest of the hit
