The One That Got Away

Just been reading the BBC Sports feed whilst eating my lunch at my desk - came across the story of Bayern Munich's German cup victory over Hertha Berlin last night.

Serge Gnabry, former Gooner, scored twice in their 3-2 win - an example of 'one that got away' ?? or was he really not all that whilst with the Goons?

Got me thinking about players that we have had and of whom I was hoping for big things - Adrien Silva is the most recent example - but I wouldn't count him as a 'one that got away'.

But this boy I would - an excellent technical player, great finisher, but someone who just didn't fit into Claudio Ranieri's title winning strategy at the time - Andrej Kramaric



Would love to have him at the club now, as I think he would suit the team we have now got and the less franetic build-up play - plus it would mean we could bin that useless plum, Iheanacho

The sacking of Harry Redknapp was possibly the worst mistake the board at West Ham ever made, that decision cost us Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Micheal Carrick & Defoe and we got Gary Breen as a replacement (on a free). It's taken us nearly 2 decades to recover.
