Here's a weird one. I don't like steak of any kind. Barring vegetarians, I'm the only person I know who doesn't like a steak. My favourite meal? Steak Pie.
Hope she doesn't try that fake bacon. It's ****ing awful. Tastes like bacon flavour crisps, so nothing like bacon.
I went vegetarian for about 3 hours one night last month! A group was playing at a veggie venue so I had no choice. Needed a curry afterwards, I was bloody starving in spite of a 3 course veggie meal!
No I'm not and no I dont. I do choose to eat next to no animal flesh though. I'm nowhete near being vegan.
Funny isn't it? My daughter and me like to go out just for a steak from time to time. Unless someone just doesn't like steak it comes down to quality. For me it has to be really top notch and well cooked and rested or, like you, I wouldn't bother.
If you and your daughter want a steak, save the pennies and get across the river to the Hope and Anchor at Sth Ferriby - the steaks are aged and matured in some fancy contraption that you can see in the restaurant, they're then cooked to absolute perfection in a state of the art oven! I like an occasional (good) steak but these at the Anchor are something else, they're certainly not cheap but, I've never eaten a steak nearly as good ..... some bumf for you in the link. http://thehopeandanchorpub.co.uk/the-hope-and-anchor-pub-menus.php
