My word.. Desperation looks like a quickly found Wikipedia page.

I would suggest questioning your statements that led you to such a position.

My question still remains, what happens if we are constantly playing the ball forward to Jackson, rather than Sears? Football isn't a regimented set of actions.

Sears long range shooting stats are ridiculous so there are a lot of reasons why there is an important distinction. It would give Jackson a chance to prove himself (or not) under near-ideal conditions for him.

For someone not understanding basic terminology used for attackers then this article is not a bad place to start.

I'm so glad I decided to leave this site for a while, Scowey you have my utmost respect but just leave it because you are never going to win, well reasoned and well constructed points attract the automatic arguments and contradiction which are as predictable as they are tedious, we are all pissed off with this season because we know we are just not good enough but its no use trying to discuss anything with someone who simply argues for the sake of it, its like trying to reason with an overtired child so it's so peaceful when you stop.
No wonder there's so few of us left after all these years.

Listen, you can debate all day long about whether Sears and Jackson should be in the side, it's all subjective. I'm sure it's not a widely held view that Jackson should be in the starting line up at all, it's my opinion.

But what isn't debatable is the thing about different attacking roles that are well established. Scowey's got a bit arsey over this, so I've got arsey back. No big dramas until fieldmarshall pipes up. It has been a lot calmer in the last few weeks without him barking about every post I write, but if he wants to come back and resume that then bring it on. Either way it's not going to make a jot of difference to our fortunes on the pitch.

No the way you speak to people is not acceptable. Heck, I don't give a toss what you say to me, but when you start speaking in the manner you do with other posters on here really riles me.

You've been told on many occasion but it's like speaking to a brick wall, you won't listen.

The stuff above telling Scowey what a CF is, christ alive how condescending do you wish to be? Absurd. Absolutely disgusting.

You do realise people have stopped posting on this forum because of the way you speak to them?

Scowey, you've added this to your post after I've written my last comment.

Players are going to move around and react to the passage of play, it's not regimented. But the starting position of a passage of play would be a bit deeper for the second striker so generally he would be working to create openings and get Jackson in behind more often than the other way around.

For those of us who have been posting for 15 years or so, some people piss us off, some people think we talk a lot of ****, we think some people talk a lot of ****. I would not expect us all to be agreeing and getting on nicely with the team and the club how it is at the moment - it is the worst it's ever been.

For the record, everyone on here has my respect regardless of individual debates and arguments and little flare points. I don't really care if I have that respect back from individuals, it says more about them than me.

We have lost a lot of numbers over the years, and that is mainly down to our fortunes under Evans and the rise of social media where people now call people all names under the sun and blame everything on immigrants. We are a very long way from that here, but it's up to San Diego to call out what is and isn't acceptable.

    In this case

condescension "Have you ever played football?", "My word.. Desperation looks like a quickly found Wikipedia page." was met with the appropriate response, more condescension.

This season is a joke. You are quite correct.

However, what's more a joke is the way you constantly belittle, dig, argue with every single poster on here all the time. It's really grating. Please think before you argue with someone for the 1000th time, belittle them again again and again.

It's not necessary, quite what it achieves I don't know. All I do know, is after this blows over one / two / three months down the line, you're going to be hard work with someone and an absolute pain, again, for the god knows how many time.

Would it not be better to get on with people than have this, over and over again?

Not that I would ever use it myself,(I find it amusing how some people get worked up about the importance of their own opinions) but there is an “ignore” button if someone seriously hacks you off!

How would that work in a context of a debate / quoting others' posts?

That could lead to some real misinterpretations, could be interesting. I might start ignoring arbitrary people to see what happens.

That genuinely may have to get used sadly at some point BigAl if things don't change.

This is just circle circle circle.

I'd rather not as it's a forum and be able to listen to everyone but you do raise a good point.

Or we can just be f***ing normal and treat people with a bit of respect decency and just use the forum for it's intended purpose.

If you think this is bad, you should check out the itfc fans forum on Facebook. Made the mistake of joining and lasted a grand total of 2 days. The nastiness and obscenities flying around were certainly not for me. This forum is quite mild in comparison
