Cardiff new signing missing in plane disappearance

Nantes have threatened legal action against Cardiff unless they pay the first instalment of Sala's transfer fee within 10 days, discuss.

A bit grim but don’t know what their financial situation is. Life has to go on and if they’re owed it they’re owed it. I heard on Talkshite that Cardiff will be insured but not for the full fee.

Agree with you both. A deal is a deal, but given the tragic events just after the deal it doesn't paint Nantes in a good light. If people's livelihoods are dependent on that money coming in I have a degree of understanding, but just all so sad that it still comes down to money.

 

Perhaps Cardiff leaking it for a bit of pressure on Nantes to back off. Nantes probably under pressure from Bordeaux for their cut.

 

It is sad but if money is irrelevant it works both ways and Cardiff are more obligated to just pay it and worry about insurance later than Nantes are to waive the fee.

Has there been a funeral yet

 

One body has been recovered but it has not been released if it is the pilot or Sala. The recovery operation has now been suspended because of bad weather.

 

Kylian Mbappe is quite some human being irrespective of whether £27k is a piss in the ocean for a professional footballer.
