Not sure Brian must be showing my age, Beer shampoo that came in a pint glass and the great smell of Brut along with soap on a rope was the holy trinity of xmas presents back in the day

If you were "posh" in the 70s you got a bottle of Denim rather than Brut. :)

Needs a couple of years in the Russian league to calm his temperament, one for the future. Why pay him 5 M a year to get sent off and give away penalties?

When none of the PL higher revenues or Euro big fish
come in for such players, IMHO they are not the real deal.

But <applause> to the lad for at least following other S Americanos
in putting themselves into the arctic tundra shop window.

Not so much not the real deal, just immature. He would not be prepared to do a Forth and play reserve football until he is ready. One for the future.

It tends to work out well for them, judging by the career trajectories of Fernandinho, Willian and Fred

    Even better for their agents...

Because we have to be a bit smarter? Speculate to accumulate?

A couple of years in the Russian League and if he's any good he won't be coming to us.

Well then we need to have an agreement with a Russian League team to lend players out.

As with : Paulinho, Soldado, N'J/K, Janssen, Wimmer etc ??

What would you say Spurs "Speculate to accumulate" success
rate currently is (if you have an objective empirical measure) ??

How does it compare to our PL rivals ??

I'm talking about Barros..he was everything we wanted...at a time we needed someone robust in midfield..just because he hasn't joined us doesn't mean he isn't what we wanted anymore.

There's no magic solution mate...I'm not complaining about not signing anyone...but when I see our long term targets joining other clubs for relative peanuts then me being me I might have an opinion on the subject.

All them years of HBIC chasing Tielmans and he joins Lesta....well someone somewhere was way off the mark with that one.

Are We Ready For The Summer Watch
So the window's been closed for less than a week and the rumour mill has ground back into life, with Joachim Andersen and Max Aarons once again being linked with summer moves

I'm going out on a limb and I'll suggest Sander Berge will be linked again by next Tuesday...
