Do you think Gyan and Bendnter can strike up a relationship? I really hope so because we need goals goals goals...

I think with Bendnter playing, Gyan has more of a chance, because hopefully it will be like Quinn/Phillips or Jones/Bent...

those relationships worked well, and we all know gyan cannot play 4-5-1 with us because we don't have the pace or willingness to get into the box like Ghana.

With Bendnter we have height, and people will mark him more than marking Gyan, its common sense in football. When I play on Sundays (I'm a keeper) you always look at the taller ones and mark them as priority. Reason being is because they tend to attack the ball more and have more of a threat. Smaller people can get into the gaps when the ball drops and score (gyan)... obviously this does not happen when I'm playing coz I'm awesome in goal :)

Now anything other than a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 on Saturday I will again question Bruce. He restored some faith getting Bendnter, for me I would have him above Crouch, Helmes, Pavlechenko etc.....

I am looking forward to Saturday, last season was a cracking game. With more experience defenders (Brown) hoping for a result.

Bendnter to score on his debut... I will be betting on this!

This is going to sound daft, again, but Bendy coming will take pressure off Gyan and put pressure on Gyan, both in the right way.

Pressure off being main striker, holding player and goalscorer.

Pressure on wanting to be number one.

    I think it will work.

Its funny on Sundays I do the opposite (I play Centre Half) I find I pay more attention to the smaller quicker players because they are the ones with the skill to actually cause you damage. 50/50 in the air with a big lad and as the defender 9 x out of 10 you get the decision. If you give the quicker lads 1/2 a yard you have to foul them your in trouble.

Either way though its better to give the other teams defence 2 things to worry about rather than 1.

I think for this game id back Brucey in going with a 5 man midfield. I know we are the home team but we have to stop Chelsea playing. I think our best chance is to catch them on the break when their full backs cole and bosingwa have bombed forward. I'm hoping that he has sess on the left cutting in onto bosinwas weaker left foot and seb on the right looking to get crosses into the box. Having a midfielder sitting infront of the back 4 could give gardner license to get forward and gets some shots on goal. he showed last season he can be lethal from 20 yards.

I agree with this mate. Hopefully Gyan will realise

'Oh S**T I am no longer main man'....

If he does not do this, and his performances arn't to scratch then I would tell him to get lost!.

    Dunno about those 50/50 decisions....

2 games ago I got battered by a team that pretty much play like Stoke. Refs on Sunday just say get up haha!

See I do agree in some ways about the small tricky players, but more if their running to goal. On corners they don't worry me much..
