I know more than 3 United fans. None of them see LFC as United's main rival. You certainly don't know 100 million. Please, try to make it a little harder for me to win these pointless arguments
No, you said that the Utd fans should make a thread on why they should "Love LFC" when they are bigging us up by claiming to be our biggest rivals. But your theories don't make sense??? It is possible to have such a fierce rivalry on hate, location and honours all of which are feasible between Liverpool and Utd. You make out that because for the last 2 seasons we have finished outside the top 4 that we can't call it a rivalry because of league position, tell that to the Geordies and mackems when they were in different leagues. And when were you close enough to Arsenal when they were winning the league and consistently finishing in the top 3/4 for years...thats right, mid-table where you belong.
I'm yet to see you even come close to winning an argument. The fact that over 50% of your posts have been on the Liverpool board says a lot. You should surely be on the Stoke or Sunderland board discussing your rivalries
All it says is that I've had to spend too much time on this particular thread trying to explain to you why the square peg does not fit into the round hole.
Are these your north London United fan mates? They no doubt see Arsenal as our main rival in their eyes. The FACT of the matter is, for many many decades there has been a local rivalry/mutual loathing between United and Liverpool which will NEVER change regardless of how many fans latch onto both clubs around the country. You opinion is worthless, we know who our main rivals are and it's Liverpool. The same the other way. We laugh at City, still do. The rival is not as ingrained as the one with our scouse mates down the road.
Exactly! It proves that I spend more time on the United board than on LFC's, thereby completely undermining the argument that I spend 50% of my time on the LFC board. Please try to anticipate my arguments, and that way you won't get owned quite so often
I don't often see you on this board, yet I constantly see you on the Liverpool board. So before trying to be clever think about what you say
Believe me, I can well understand why a certain type of United fan is in denial over this whole issue. You'd rather cling to a rivalry that has been dead for at least a decade rather than admit to the very real fact that City is now your rival, and will be for a very, very long time. The truth of the matter is that even if LFC does eventually improve significantly enough to mount a proper challenge for title honours in the PL, City will now always be there to ensure that they don't get very far. Don't be afraid of the truth, embrace it. A United rivalry with City is what all of us neutrals have been wanting for years!
Huh? Have you got me mixed up with someone else? I have been on the LFC board only a handful of times. I spend more time on the Gooners' board than I do on the LFC board. That is something I know for a fact. Indeed, I can honestly say that I have now spent more time in arguing in this pointless thread than I have posted on the entire LFC board.
Wrong again. I'm discussing, on the UNITED board, a very valid and strong reason why UNITED should view CITY as its rival, not LFC. I want to convince UNITED fans to take LFC out of the equation for ever.
