Am feeling very down with Charlton after the last week. We had a good chance of finishing the season well and what does RD do sell one of our top scorers and bring in a free from Gillingham. Despite what Bowyer says he and the players must be demoralised. I wouldn't be surprised to see us slide away completely. The takeover is still a million miles away and at the end of the season we have a whole team, including Jackson and Bowyer, out of contract.
There seems no light at the end of the tunnel. Every season the exact same errors are repeated. This summer we face a monumental implosion (contracts) if this sh1t stays. Why would he invest in new contracts ?

We could be about to enter the next phase in our downward spiral under Roland. It's impossible to envisage a squad ready to challenge for promotion next season, especially without Bowyer to hold it all together. The alleged Aussie take-over bid has been a massive red herring, dividing opinion and neutralizing the protests. While they are still in the picture Roland will still hold out for a price no-one is prepared to pay, and so it goes on.

Utterly depressing. Despite the claims of some absurd fans that we just as good as before the window, Bowyer exposed everything when he explained that of the money for the Grant sale, he was given nothing. Zilch. As Reams pointed out, Bristol and Bolton exposed our naivety. They both refused to let players go until they had suirable replacements in. We pathetically went the other way. And yesterday, we were deservedly beaten by a team three weeks ago we'd have expected to beat. It was honest of Bowyer to say we deserved to lose - it probably hurt a few of those who wanted to blame anything but the club and it's owner. But Bowyer and Gallen deserve credit too. If RD shafted them and made them let players go, they should say so. This was a classic mismanagement case. And it has probably condemned us to a record run of seasons in tier 3. Congratulations Roland. You're the best.
