Fosse is like a big fluffy Teddy bear, cannot understand for the life of me why people get wound up by him.
Apart from the Spuds and their Leicester bitterness thing.

Mate of mine at school was in to them years ago. People didn't get him because he dressed like a Teddy boy, but looking back he was a dude.

Was having this chat with NSIS about how Thelonious Monk used to play one note in a bar sometimes, usually a blue note, which would be set off against what the rest of his band were playing because he knew how to create a dynamic. Less is more sometimes.

What I'm saying is that you can be the most technically gifted player in the world, but if all you're interested in is being a flashy ****, then you're not a good musician. Because playing in a band is about creating a vibe and a dynamic with your fellow musicians, not stamping all over their playing with your ego.
Stray cats have got a great vibe. I love Rockabilly. It's technically quite straight forward, but that's not the point. It's all about the feel of the music and they have clearly got it.
