Very harsh, he tried to jump but crouch held him down, so his arms momentum carried it up.
I thought he had a really good game until then.

    We played well today.

Positives are that JWP is not a liability at RWB, Redders just carries on getting better and better, negatives are we concede a late goal yet again and Danny gets injured... yet again.

I would have taken 1-1 so as frustrating as it is it remains a good point.

Considering how well Burnley played against Man U I was expecting it to be a far tougher test. I think for the first 70 minutes we were in control, however we got a little deep although The Clarets didn't really create much. Shame about conceding a penalty so late, but not a disaster result, I was worried about a loss.

I really think taking Redmond off didn’t help.

Having no pace to keep Burnley pegged back hurt us

I thought we played well. Draw is okay. Stepens fouled, so hardly to blame.

What strikes me is that everyone goes on about how Burnley are such an honest team, but they love a) throwing themselves to the deck on soft contact, and b) being general thugs towards the ref and his officials. Definitely would like to see them go down...

Gutted that Burnley fluked a late penalty. Alot in that game to be positive about.

    Shame about Ings though.

Excellent away point to Burnley. Unbeaten for two months. Edging further away from the relegation zone. 9 points from 5 games and Cardiff at home. I’m on for my 12 point prediction from the six games. Oh and I predicted 1-1.

Didn’t follow the game as I’ve been out on my bike, so may catch up on the thread later.

Did I miss anything in particular?

Redmond scored a cracking goal, but apart from that it wasn’t an amazing game.
We played well, looked solid, but a point was probably fair.

Yeah, think the ref wanted to make amends for his mistake earlier

The positives from this are such...

    - We are now five points clear of the drop
    - We're unbeaten in five games in 2019
    - Next week's game against Cardiff means that however big or small that gap to 18th is by the end of next weekend, is entirely in our own hands

Would have taken a draw at the start but those circumstances are gutting.

Anyway Fulham lost and as long as Cardiff lose we will have gained further ground.

Massive game next week, and one we need to win.

I dunno. I would say the past two games we have looked like a ****ty team with a good manager. The skills on the pitch haven’t been the best but the team is organized and working hard.

TBF, that’s quite often the difference between relegation and survival. If I had to pick one the one most important factor a relegation fight, it’d be the manager.

But if we just don’t have the players, there is nothing Hasenhuttl can do. And if we are without Ings for a long stretch I am not sure we have talent.

I look at JWP. He did a fairly decent job today by dint of hard work and intelligence. But he is not a very good wingback, IMO. Too slow, too lightweight, and not a great tackler. He made some good interceptions and like I said worked his ass off but that only gets you so far. Against Burnley he was okay but a better team will tear him up.

These last two draws tell us where we are, I think. Which is that we are good enough to survive (but not by much) as we stand. Which is an immense improvement from two months ago, but it wouldn’t take much— an injury, a few bad bounces, player fatigue for us to be right back in the ****.
