Forget me. As I say, if we stay in the CU, there will be a massive move to the right by the electorate. That's my view. You may say Leavers will take it on the chin...

Don't agree. My sense is that there is a visceral dislike of the EU leadership among a large majority of voters, due largely to the stuff they've thrown at us during the negotations (Gibralter a colony being the latest). If we can't enter our own trade deals because Ireland won't let us, and still have to pay into the EU for the privilege, it won't go down well imo

Well, may be. It's happening all over Europe. I'd hoped we could avoid it here

Fair point, but in realpolitik, both Labour and particularly the Tories will have to assess what effect such a move would have on their support at the next GE. As I say, MP's in Leave constituencies will probably vote to say their own arses

    Imo
Brexiteers still don’t know what they really want
Remainers always did but now will have to go with the will of the people
Any idiot who thought a no deal was good has been well and truly put back in their box ... foolish people

    Business is ready
    Brexiteers the challenge starts soon
Hard line UK nationalists lesson learnt I hope

Pretty sure after Brexit the sheep will forget anything happened and vote blue again it’s in their DNA

Ellers will consume himself with daily updates of what could of been and if we had done it a different way etc. He will continue to laugh at every struggle Europeans may face while defending his opinion that he was right all along

Hope the French string him up when he visits his French holiday home

Well, it's a view, but personally I think now that Brexit is out of the box, no one will get it back in again. Before the referendum, Leavers thought they were in a small minority. Then their eyes were opened.

If France was given a referendum, I think there's a fair chance it would vote leave. I see the gilet jaunes are out on the streets again today

No you can’t say that because according to our resident europhile and all things French expert it’s just a few people out and about wearing high viz vests for safety purposes, he says there have been no riots or disruption of any sort, it’s all fake news and made up by brexiteers.

You are without a doubt a nasty odious individual, hoping someone gets “strung up” just because he doesn’t agree with you, and if anybody is a sheep it’s you you cockwomble, following after the Eu like a little lost lamb.

I wouldn't worry Turkish the bloke talks utter crap. I saw his comments as I wasn't logged in so my usual block didn't work. He just has a problem because the UK has given assurances to EU nationals whereas the Mafia are using them a bargaining chip. Sadly DT always gets nasty when he's made to look a dick.

As for being ’strung up’? As soon as I stick up for myself the French would either surrender, run away or collaborate with the Germans.

But you wouldn't be happy to see the result of the Parliamentary vote to reject a No deal exit? Most MPs accepted that also as a result of an amendment put forward by an alliance of neighbouring MPs one Tory one Labour. This is a Parliamentary democracy after all not one in which only referendums have to be respected. Or do you disagree with that and hide behind the non-binding character of it?
