That can’t be right, he hasn’t been picked by Garth Crooks!

Garth Crooks only watches the top 4 and reads about the other fixtures in the Sun :bandit:

I was going to post yesterday that I was a bit surprised Birmingham could turn down £12m given their finances, turns out...

Birmingham City’s decision to reject several bids for the striker Che Adams this week could lead to a second charge of committing an “aggravated breach” of the EFL’s profit and sustainability rules, which would trigger a second points deduction in as many seasons.

This worries me. I bet he gets more bookings or even a red in the next few weeks because the media have highlighted this.

I also think it's been blown out of proportion. The whole incident happened right in front of me. There was a challenge by JWP before it all kicked off which was a foul but wasn't given and you could see then that Zaha was getting wound up. At that point he tried to confront JWP and was having heated words with him, but JWP just ignored him and jogged away to get on with the game. The next 'challenge' by JWP on Zaha, again a cynical foul not given and that pushed Zaha over the edge. JWP went to take the throw in but Zaha got in his face and wouldn't let him take the throw in to get on with it. This is the part where JWP got a bit naughty, he feigned throwing the ball at Zaha, which just made Zaha square up to him even more and push him, at this point it looked to me like JWP was trying to calm him with the hand on the face (did they play together at England youth levels?), but under the circumstances was a stupid thing to do because that wound Zaha up even more. Maybe that's why he did it, I don't know. Then came the laughing which to me is far better than getting wound up himself. Oh and celebrating when he got sent off, meh...see that happen all the time when an opposition player gets sent off. I see very little wrong with what he did tbh and Zaha got himself sent off. JWP just stirred an already boiling pot.

JWP knew exactly what he was doing: he is an extremely intelligent young man and the deliberate and successful winding-up of Zaha was a joy to behold. I wouldn’t be surprised if was actually trying to get Wilf to throw a punch, but the end result was the same as if he had.

Yeah maybe so, but I don't think he set out to wind him up. I think he saw the opportunity and took it, but only after Zaha was way down the path to boiling over. I also think Zaha gave him little choice but to react in some way. A lot of players would have risen to him and pushed back but JWP very cleverly just stirred the pot. I certainly don't see him as a 'bad boy' in football now. He's probably one of the nicest, but clever he certainly is.

Cedric played his first Inter game at home to 18th placed Bologna and.......lost 1-0. At least he didn't get sent off.
