Why would you think he's only doing it for the fans? I didn't suggest he was. He's a businessman, it's a win/win for him and the fans if we go up, if Clarke stays and rockets in value, etc, etc.

I don't want him canonised ffs, but I get fed up with all the negative bollocks he attracts when he's the best owner we've had in many, many years.

Believe me when I say that the money wasn't enough, had you propped up a more significant down payement, it would have gone through, such is the nature of our money grabbing boardroom...............<ok>

Perhaps, but the amounts offered appeared quite generous.

Some clubs are willing to pay silly money, we tried that almost 20 years ago and it did not work well for us.

The selling club appeared to have agreed the deal and then went MIA for 5 hours. Not cool. I suspect they wanted to see if the other deals were going through so did not want to reply until they were done, thereby keeping the Daniel deal alive during that time.

It’s frustration and fear mate, we’re so close to promotion and we’re all scared of the wheels falling off, a new signature or two for the final push would have eased a few fears, the signings fall through and the frustration sets in.

I’m personally not blaming Rads, I would be asking questions as to why a list was presented to Bielsa and only one was deemed good enough. I’d also ask questions if I was Rads why this dragged into the final day and if everyone had done their homework on fees and payment schedules. It might all be explainable, I admit I’m biased in my negativity towards Orta and I find it easy to jump on his errors and ignore the few positives .

If what you have hypothesized is true, do you think the Swans chairman behaved in the best interest of Swansea City ?

I suspect Bielsa wasn't fussed on getting anyone in but conceded that James looked like a positive addition, so we went for him. As Orta said recently, buying players is 70% of his job - it's hard to look valuable if your manager doesn't really want anybody much apart from a nailed-on keeper. Fans ain't that understanding. <laugh>

In the end we're weaker than we were when Saiz was here, Baker is no great loss IMHO - maybe young Bogusz will be blooded sooner than expected now.

We still have enough in the locker to get us over the line, if we get 3 points tomorrow everyone starts to believe again. Keep the faith, James is history atm and we've a promotion season to finish. <ok>

Exactly. Anyway I’m not commenting on the matter as it calls into question our status as supporters apparently if it’s not the popular view. Not that I’d be too bothered, after a half century I don’t have to justify my form of support to anyone. <whistle>
The important stuff continues tomorrow and surely efl enquirer crap must be nearing a close

I don`t know what happened with the James deal. Our club is one big bloody mess and has been getting worse for the last few seasons. Once, not all that long ago we were a prudent (had to be) club living within our means and giving the big guys a run for their money. It`s all gone more than pear shaped since a load of conniving feckers decided that a local club owned mainly by local people was not as good as getting a load of millions of $s from some yankee venture capitalists is a good idea. The results are starting to show and will continue to show that we are well and truly fecked and destined for even more shenanigans from these buttock feckers. If Dan wanted to go to you he should have been allowed to go, after all that would have meant we`ll slowly go down the cesspit a bit sooner.

Here’s Mateusz Bogusz with my mate who told me about his impending arrival and that of Casilla long before it was made public

And he’s just texted me this about Bogusz:

Needs time but he’ll be one for next season to hopefully make an impact
