I'm sure all clubs have them but we see ours more. Reckon Mr Donald will have far more supportive messages than this fanny.
Sounds like the deal itself is a decent one, maybe not too much money upfront and the rest dependant on promotions.
Agreed. Reading between the lines, it appears that we paid £1.5m up front with various addons that could see the fee rise to £4m. If he gets the goals that will see us promoted, it will be worth every penny IMO.
If £4million means Premier League football it’s a ****ing snip. I hit panic stations a couple of tiles yesterday but I’m delighted with what we are left with and utterly confident we will finish the job of promotion, hopefully with the cherry on top of that Wembley jaunt.
It probably is as first suggested. 1.5 million up front, 3 million for reaching the championship and 4 million for reaching the premier league.
May not matter too much as this just might be nothing but a sticking plaster solution to the problem caused by Maja's departure. Grigg's record says that he is very good in league 1 but mediocre in The Ch'P. In our current situation I've no objection at all to this approach and you never know, he MIGHT turn out to be a Prem Striker and the best bargain since SKP. At least hope costs nowt.
Brilliant investment, even if its just raising our hopes and expectations, and lifting the morale in the dressing room. It will put a few thousand on the gates for a start, and winning a few home games now looks far more likely, it has also shown we have the best management team at the club in my lifetime, Oh!! and it has me forgetting Maja already, what a week. Get in.
My only worry is that we don't pick up enough points these next 5 or 6 games until he's fit and be a little too far left behind. We will only have about 12 - 13 games with Grigg. In terms of the owners or the manager and his team around him?
The problem has been honeyman absence. Gooch and maguire drop in form coincides with his injury imo. With him back, along with Leadbitter and Morgan I think we will have enough to start winning games again even if its Wyke or Sterling/Kimpioka up front
Donald Methven and Ross, not the coaching staff if they have anything to do with set plays at which we are dire.
I know it’s YouTube videos etc but I’ve a feeling we are all looking straight past the man who might make the biggest impact, Morgan. Remember we’ve had goals all season, we just swapped Maja out for Grigg, but we’ve failed to find that bit of magic to get clear in games. The pace and end product of Morgan looks very, very eye catching and it may well be that he’s the key ingredient. I’ve no doubt Grigg will score the goals, and backed that signing from first mention, but we needed more than that, we needed some midfield guile. Morgan, and Grant in there with a bit more forward impetus than we’ve.had, and Honeyman on way back, well we should be far stronger second half of season. Considering where we are, it would take a real defeatist to not fancy us to go up now.
Always is mate, I have my moments but I keep them firmly on here l, as I know they usually pass. I’ve wondered about the owners whilst maintaining their good job, but directing it at them on Twitter is bullshit, absolute madness. Problem is with twitter 99% of it is for a reaction, at least on forums like this there’s always a grounding of love for club and therefore reason, we don’t post on here for likes and shares, we post cos we respect each others opinions. I fully embrace most social media, but I ****ing despise twitter.
Aye Morgan does look very good, I said somewhere else that even if the YouTube videos turn out to be misleading (wouldn't be the first time) there's no faking that pace, he looks as quick as Yedlin. I think we had a great window and we were already pretty good so it should all come together now. Did anyone keep an eye on how well our rivals strengthened in the window?
Didn’t see Luton do anything at all, Portsmouth look weaker to me. Barnsley didn’t need to do anything other than keep players, which they did, and I believe Charlton lost a big one.
