    Good Morning Everyone

If something bad is going to happen - rest assured it's going to happen to Leeds!

Daniel James was already in Leeds, having driven up to West Yorkshire on Wednesday night.

At 2pm, Leeds were granted permission for James to undergo a medical at Thorp Arch followed by a waiting game at Elland Road to unveil their marquee signing!

    Where did things go wrong?

A late complication arose over Leeds initial intention to pay the £1.5m loan fee in June, but negotiations were quickly agreed that half the money would be paid up front!

Leeds claim to have been met with silence from Wales in the last hour-and-a-half of the window, even though Swansea owner Jason Levien approved the sale directly with Radrizzani.

Why did Leeds wait until the last day of the transfer window to push the sale through?

If you have identified your top target, surely you want to bring him over as soon as the window opens?

Is there any ill feeling towards Leeds from Swansea City regarding Spygate?

Could Swansea City have deliberately sabotaged the James transfer at the 11th hour?

It remains to be seen how this could effect out last 17 games of the season, especially when you consider the amount of injuries we have had.

Now is the time we could really do with Izzy Brown!

    Morning all....

Leeds will blame Swansea and Swansea will blame Leeds. My hunch is a boardroom/manager rebellion at Swansea.

Sadly one seemingly obvious fact is we don’t have much of a budget as we tried to do it all on the cheap. Saiz and Baker leave and we don’t replace either, we’re weaker in February than we were in December.

Yes I know James was first choice or the only target but that only means the only target out of those that were put forward to Bielsa, I’m assuming it was a pretty poor list of targets that were handed over to Bielsa if it left just the one option.

I’m hoping this isn’t a moment in history that we look back on with the sentence starting “if only we’d....”

It shall disrupt Swansea more than us I think, the lad wants away and move to a big club, he now has to go back to Swansea, face his team mates, try to play for a team he wants away from!!! We shall proberbly have spoke to him and told him there is a place here for you in the summer at a knock down price, let’s wait and see, plus if and it’s a bloody big if Bamford and Brown step up to the plate I think we have enough to get us over the line, fingers crossed.

United’s head coach spoke yesterday about the player Leeds were expecting to sign.

“Victor Orta (Leeds’ director of football) chose James and I accepted the player shown to me,” Bielsa said. “I agreed with the fact that this player has the features the team needs and responds to the needs of the team. “The most important element is how he plays. After that comes his age. He comes into the group to compensate experience with youth.

We have enough experienced players already.” The signing of James would have tied in with the reshuffle Bielsa undertook after Samuel Saiz surprised Leeds in December by asking to quit the club and go home to Spain. Saiz had been in and out of Bielsa’s starting line-up but, on his day, was a high calibre number 10 and it as fallen to Pablo Hernandez to take up that position after starting the season on the right wing.

Bielsa plans to play Hernandez on the left against Norwich tomorrow night but the option of a revved-up James on that flank would have freed his veteran playmaker to occupy the pocket. “As Saiz is not in the club anymore, Pablo plays as a number 10,” Bielsa said. “And the fact that (Barry) Douglas has been absent means (Gjanni) Alioski plays as a full-back. At the beginning of the season our wingers were Pablo and Gjanni so for us it would be important to have another winger.”

I believe they never wanted to sell but would have to if they couldn't sell other bigger earners, that's why it all dragged on, they got rid of 3, with a reported combined wage of £220,000 per week, so they never went through with it or the Fer deal to Villa, because they didn't need to. Their fans will be happy but the way they treated James I think it will take a lot of reasoning to get him over this.

good morning i can't believe we went for a player on credit terms.we were told he was our only and top target to sign.
so being clever we thought Hmmm Swansea are skint so let's try and pull a fast one.meanwhile Swansea are thinking not if we can help it and conclude other deals from clubs willing to pay the asking price and fees etc.
Victor Orta has been shown to be inept and so far up his own rectum and he still has a job.sack him because we are going nowhere with him in charge of recruiting.our owner should be at the game tomorrow revelling in the crowd and atmosphere and counting the money.
we are now left playing roberts at ten or god forbid winger as he is no good at it.
we have three injured players only who are capable of getting in the squad.Beradi as cover anywhere in defence plus Bamford and brown who is not going to be fit for ages.
Norwich know our team well in advance and have the players capable of snuffing our game out.Bad move by bielsa naming his side and likely formation.

brentford regulary sell players for decent money how the hell did we think we could pick up a player on the cheap ?.
january is a tough time to buy and you need to stump up more.i do not blame Swansea one bit he is their player under contract and remains so.
so for me i want not to hear of this player ever again .it was his chance and the move failed.goodbye Dan leeds will now move on .

What a bl--dy almighty Cockup, wouldn't blame James not his fault that Orta/Radz are so much up their own arses.
This is yet another instance that confirms my Orta/Radz thoughts which I have had from day one.
I really fancied this guy in the team if it had gone through I would have been prepared to admit maybe I had misread the terrible 2.
Oh well it's Leeds United what more can we expect.
    Yours sincerely
    Really pissed off

Wakey has turned into Glory FFS. If it was penny pinching please explain why we agreed to pay them £5m up front with add-ons later, but the greedy twats decided then it wasnt enough and actually would have screwed up their FFFP plans, so only wanted to do loan deals to get wages off the books. It was them that then started off wanting £1m loan fee which rose to £2m and then finally agreed at 31.5m as long as we agreed to buy him at a price higher than £5m and needed lots of bonuses and add-ons. It was agreed to pay the fee in June and then agreed to pa6y half as requested up front with the money waiting in a transfer waiting for the key pressing. They refused to answer calls, texts and emails for hours. This was a boardroom power struggle because it was Hew Jenkins who pulled the plug on Fer and James deals because he had a player riot going on. The yank owner sanctioned all the deals so I expect a war in Swansea today. Read Phil hays diary of events which shows exactly what happened and why other targets were left on Wednesday and why

    Morning wakey and all
Were forced to operate on credit as weve no cash simple as. Same reason we bought one player last summer. Same reason we signed Izzy Brown, cost nothing. How much more do people need to see of this before admitting the obvious re Radz. Anyway Im done with trying to reason with people on this subject, they can believe whatever they want and blame whoever. Onwards and upwards hopefully to the Norwich game and really looking forward to it personally. If we achieve promotion this season itll be a miraculous achievement by Bielsa having had to operate with both hands tied behind his back. We still await enquiry decision of course

There Are 2 types of Leeds fans. . The moaners who believe everything they read and Then moan about it when it does not. happen.they have not forgotten the risedale era and what happen when you buy, buy, buy and what we do have at the club... Then there is the proper fan who see the bigger picture. There realistic ones. They see what radz has done. Whats happening and what calibre of players we already have. Were top of the league. Have a world class coach. A good squad. Own the ground and there Are 23 clubs playing catch up who Are scared to death of us

What Swansea just told the football world is “we are not a club you want to deal with on a business level. We don’t know what we’re doing”. A fall from grace from what I used to think was a classy, plucky little club.

I actually resent that. What makes someone a proper fan because they believe everything Radz puts out. Define proper fan please so I can decide where I fit in but suspect youve already made up your mind. Some of us have been around since the Dons era so have seen it all

Morning all. Marcelo has enough talent at the club to beat any team in the league. James may have been a good addition but it didn't happen. Its Leeds against the rest roll your sleeves up lads.
