was this deal ever on ?.i'm sure if the club had tried another winger would have been avaliable in this big world. pathetic mr moneybags and his crap chief feckin scout have ****ed up again. just knew something was not right all window.
Aston Villa sign Tom Carroll from Swansea deal went through with 3 minutes to go, probably why we couldn't get through on the phone
Interesting & fingers crossed ...... Simon O'Rourke@simon_orourke 7m7 minutes ago More TECHNICALLY, I do believe Dan James could opt to terminate his contract on these grounds. I’ll leave that to people who know the rules a bit better, but I’d be interested. I do actually think that given his age, he has all the power rules wise.
I don't think he'll be too happy as he was very keen to join us, don't think we've heard the last of this fiasco.
Wakey, the lad has just left ER after sitting waiting on Swansea answering the phone for 5 hours. Same happened at AV for Fey, or whatever you call him. Common denominator is Swansea. No idea what game they're playing, but I think they've just lost a player for the rest of the season. The way they've treated the kid, he'll be demoralised, demotivated & aggressively hostile towards them. I have no idea wtf they hoped to gain out of this. But you can't blame us or Villa. Both were good to go, every box ticked & just waiting for the final GO form Swansea.
The staff and players need to make sure this doesn't distract them from Norwich on Saturday, that's the most important thing now. Nothing more to be said about James till the summer, move on. MOT.
I'm with you on this one Wakey. Whilst the deal has fallen through due to how Swansea have decided to conduct themselves today, we have allowed ourselves to be put in that position, by allowing a deal that was intimated 12 days ago to go right down to the wire, and letting a club supposedly desperate for money to dictate the terms, and then pull the plug as they have managed to improve their financial situation via other deals. When we were in dire financial straits, we allowed the buying clubs to call the shots ( understandable as we were negotiating from a poor position), and yet on this occasion when the roles have been reversed, the selling club appears to have the upper hand, it kind of beggars belief, but hey it Leeds United we are talking about, so should be use to it by now
