I've never had anything against Brighton and good luck to the fans who did stick with the club through the many thin years.... BUT... I do find the recent fawning all over the club by the media to be a bit over the top.
When I saw that a Saints player had been nominated I assumed it was Connolly because he has been brilliant so far this season. He is more than a little unlucky but he wont care.
Yeah I agree with this it is a little over the top, alot of it is to do with the new stadium hype, of which I am very much looking forward to visiting around the new year. Imagine poyet will get it as their unbeaten but we have had some great managerial moves as well so I guess we will see. Gotta be lallana he has been class and yes conolley was unlucky.
Very true. Also, I find it hilarious how all the pundits commend Brighton for their style of play. One thing I've noticed is the way pundits immediately assume a team with a foreign manager means they play good football. Not once have we been commended for the way we play. Every time I've seen Brighton play, they've played very negatively...
I hope he does! Can't wait for them to topple so the hype calms down a bit. Emnes has been great, can't have been much in it though.
Player of the month is generally "Who scored the most goals in a month award" and manager of the month is "Who's gone unbeaten this month" regardless of their squad strength or opposition. Shame really because Adam especially deserve so much recognition!
Who cares really? I'd prefer us to drift along under the radar and then pick up one of two trophies in May: the league title or the play off final.
