It's snow joke. Took an hour to get to this in Poole.

and in 15 years i've never known a school close due to snow. (they have those big lorries with bid bladey things on the front)

 

Yep, that's going to happen.
Annoying thing is that I could have watched recordings, but rebooted it as I thought that is what it needed (sometimes happens) and only realised it was snow too late. Now it won't finish rebooting till the thaw.

 

We’re just not set up to deal with it in the UK since it’s so infrequent!

 

we're not awfully good at prolonged rain, a few weeks without rain or autumn leaves either!

 

Half of all small talk is about the weather. We love commenting on it!

Snow day for me. Have got 3 - 4" of snow outside my house although it's easy enough to drive on and the roads are mostly clear. University campus closed though, so day off for me.
The last time this happened, I got bored and went driving around in the Mendip hills. Too snowy to walk on a path (apparently), but perfect for finding a pristine snow covered lane and bombing around doing hand brake turns like a kid

My little enduro bike will be getting a run out on Salisbury plain today methinks.
