    Any info on the lad?

I gather Pocc rates him and he’s seen as a real prospect, owt worth noting?

    Cheers in advance.

It's a good move for the player and the club, though. They need a striker and he needs to play matches.
They've got a few games in hand and his impact could make all the difference to their season, one way or another.
He'll also be on camera, as they're filming the second series of Sunderland Til I Die, which hasn't been picked up by anyone yet, IIRC.

Not many on here will have seen much of him, unfortunately.
He was doing well for the U23s last season and then got an injury that kept him out for quite a while, IIRC.
Scored a few since he's been back this time, but we'll be watching your matches to get a better idea of what he's capable of, I think.

Is this a change from MP in that he said he preferred to keep the lads in house so that we could show them the Spurs way?

Well he will get games mate, great for any club to send players here on loan at the moment I’d guess, not many places a prospect can play in front of 30k plus.

Hopefully he’s a second Danny Rose, we both did massively well outta that loan.

It could be that he doesn't think that Sterling's going to get many chances in our first team or that this is a good opportunity for him.
Sunderland are playing well and have an obvious gap that's just opened up.
    Maybe Defoe had a word?

More likely Rose did mate, he’s been up here in the crowd for games a fair few times since he left.

Top lad, the improvement in him for that season he was here was insane, we were gutted when you decided to keep him, we assumed he was a done deal.

Sounds like the players agents are trying to broker this deal. Surely not?

Been one of our better prospects in recent years, naturally though for any young striker we have their chances of getting a sufficient breakthrough while Kane's here is very, very slim but I'd say he's got the potential to be a squad player for us in time. He's a fox in the box type striker, don't expect many 35 yarders but if he can get used to your system and your lot can create chances in the box or through balls behind the defence he should hopefully bag a fair few.

Nice lad as well, he was injured in the first half of the season and sat in the crowd with us at the U23 NLD at The Emirates, stayed after the final whistle for photos with fans too.

Box striker is fine mate that’s what we need. We are hoping for 1 more up top as well but looking less likely.

    He will play for sure.

Yeah it's a non-starter anyway mate, Sky just chatting **** as per.

As I said before, the only way we'd pay big money for another striker is if Poch has plans to change the formation by going 4-3-3 and I don't even think Batshuayi is the type of player who'd allow us that sort of change as I don't think he could play a wide forward role well enough like Sonny or Lucas can.

Nah he doesn't have the mobility for that at all. Never really for the hype about him tbh, he's decent on FIFA but never seen it IRL <laugh>

If we sign a forward any time soon it'll be someone like Son, if we go foreign I think Timo Werner fits the mould best but we'd face a fight to sign him. So someone HG like Jarrod Bowen is more likely IMO. All talk for the summer though now, really.
