My worst fears have come to fruition. If we win the replay, the next round against Watford will be on Friday night. I am booked to arrive in London on Saturday morning. Half hoping we lose the replay now and play Leeds on that day. The Bristol City away game which I was also booked for (flight and hotel) has also been moved to Tuesday 12th February. I tried to book a ticket for that game before the Preston game and the Box Office told me they were not on sale yet. They never mentioned that there was a possibility the game would be brought forward 24 hours. Changing fixtures less than 2 weeks before they are due to be played is absolutely a pain in the backside. Email complaining of 14 day notice of fixture change sent to the Box Office now. Thinking we should just lose the third round every year to save fans these type of problems with re-arranging games
Hardly the fault of our box office is it? When you sell your soul to the devil you have to dance to his tune!
Sucks for those who can’t make it (if we make it at all). However Friday under the lights after a few low quality lagers... it’ll be rocking (if we make it at all). (If we make it at all). If.
I am hardly surprized. The last time this happened to me was also a Friday change against WATFORD. Am I naughty to hope for a Pompey win?
Yes. Although if we get through and get trounced by Watford I’ll have to switch my phone off for a month.
