VvD get injured and it's game over for us. There is no one player in City's side that if he is injured it's season over.

Same with Salah. If Salah is injured it's a major disadvantage. Time isn't on our side. At some point as we enter this home stretch we will more than likely pick up a few key injuries. City doesn't have that worry. You can injure any three key City players and they'll manage.

If everyone stayed healthy and rested until May... Yeah, I'd say we were favourites. But the fact that there will be players needing rests and there will be injuries (every team has them every year) makes me suspect that we will hit a rough patch.

Our title hope rests on staying fit.

We squandered 2 points tonight. Playing at home against a non top 6 side. If we had won, we would been virtually uncatchable.

That's too pessimistic. The way I see it is to match or better City's result in any given round. Yes we played rank and dropped 2 points but we bettered their result. if that happens every time they can't catch however well they play. They have to hope that every opposition we play give us a game and vice versa.

I think a 7 point lead would have been psychologically significant. City would have felt like they were kicked in the bum.

After losing, seeing us only get 1 point has to be a relief and a bit of a lift for them.

It does mean of course they need us to lose 2 more times than them.

We're clearly improving at home defensively.

We went from 3 goals conceeded to only 1. Following the same linear progression we shall concede -1 goals in our next home fixture.

I'm assuming -1 must mean the opposition score an own goal.

Pretty much this. I bet City were down after Tuesday and would fear the worst on Wednesday and psychologically beaten. I bet they are right up for it and Guardiola will be telling them that we will drop more.

It is amazing how one match makes such a difference. It changes the perspective and the complexion of the remaining matches.

People say that the tough matches are the mancs, Chelsea and Everton. I think now the matches Away to Southampton (new and savvy manager) and Newcastle (Rafa master at defending and getting a point) look really tough too. With a full strength team, playing with the early season confidence I would have said only Chelsea looked tough (and if Mourinho was still with the mancs) but with a declining defence and a lightweight midfield (fingers crossed Gigi Henderson and Milner coming back to MF) the matches are getting tougher and tougher.

My view would be any top 6 side dropping points against **** teams like newcastle and southampton will be putting themselves under pressure.

No matter whats going ion at utd LFC don't do old trafford. the bigger pitch doesn't suit us but it suits them all the time.

Right now theres not one single game we can consider that we'd wein. We've gone to the dogs with nerves and injuries. Peopel need to man the **** up and get one with it.

These predictions are now worthless. They only make sense with the valid data at the time the computing is done. They published this 2 days ago so hadn't factored in our draw with West Ham and may not even have taken the Leicester draw either.

I myself thought we had the title in the bag going with historical outcomes. No team ahead by 6 points at the turn of the year had ever not won the title nor any team with 60 points or more after 23 matches. The evidence was that we had almost won it but these two draws (4 points against teams outside the top 6 and hardly had anything to play for) make me a bit less certain.

Another thing is the prediction that Arsenal have double the chance of the mancs in finishing in the top 4 . Really? Did they use my little kid 's computer? AND Chelsea 7 times more likely with only 2 points ahead?
