Before we get too confident remember that the vast majority of us don't have the legal knowledge and so what we may deem an improbable appeal may have legal grounds. Greedy or not, with the possible prize of £2,5m loss of earnings at stake, Bullard may well think a few grand on lawyers fees is a decent gamble. Hopefully the Football league appeal panel will see use common sense though & that HCAFC can prove gross misconduct under the terms of JB's contract.
As Jimmy Bullard is in a union, he will not be paying anything, why wouldnt he appeal. The PFA will be representing him, it is their lawyers as he has paid his union dues, it will have been discussed by them and if they think they have a case then they will fight.
I think its more to do with the PFA saving face than supporting Bullard. Imagine what will happen when Bullard loses the case ?
Gordan Taylor is at the root of football's problems. Why on earth didn't Thatcher **** them as she did Scargill and the rest of the country. Maybe she had another personal interest as she did with most of the others winners out of Friedmansim (Thatcherism to those who do not know who Milton Friedman is)
What we think has nothing to do with it at all. I was on a lecture a couple of weeks ago and got told of a company who sacked a guy when they caught him red handed thieving from them and he was found guily and went to prison, got let out early and was in time to appeal his dismissal and won- now to you and me that doesnt seem fair but was all to do with legal technicalities.
