Some of you may have read my posts from last season and earlier this season referring to someone near me who was obnoxious enough that I considered moving my season ticket seat to escape his vitriol. What a twat, good to see he was reported by fellow fans and he's been convicted along with his banning order.
Good. Very proud/glad that people reported him. I like supporting a club that has no tolerance for that sort of behaviour
I nearly posted this, but found it too depressing. I was amazed that he hadn't been exposed before when I saw that he had been a Saints fan for 25 years.....I thought surely he hasn't been an angel until this moment. Said to have shouted vitriol against the Chinese and Poles amongst others....that's an awful lot of people to hate. Should have been punished before.
Sounds like he hates the world. A shame for someone to live their life like that. Hopefully a punishment like this will aid a little self reflection and ignite a change
Bloody hell I recognise him from way back at the Dell. Must have been spewing his crap for decades. Sad prick.
As I say, I know the guy. Some may recognise him if they remember my description of him in earlier posts combined with his photo. He's been vile for some time, utterly vile at times. I've had a run-in with him that I thought might end up with my dodging a punch (I have the reactions of a dead badger so that would have ended badly). I'll tell the story to anyone who wants to hear it down the pub but it doesn't translate well into writing. He abused away fans incessantly (from 50 yards away) and abused Saints players from kick off to final whistle. People near him have moved their season ticket seats because of his vitriol. He was never happy no matter what was going on on the pitch. However, he was never audibly racist in the past. What appears to have happened is the moment he stepped over the line, all the people who'd endured him in the past jumped straight in and reported him. You reap what you sow. Vin
Makes you wonder about the mentality of this moron, I bet he's a joy to live with? Really not sure what can be done with dinosaurs like this, hopefully they are a dying breed.
I’m proud of the fans that reported him. There is too much discrimination going on in regards to foreign nationals. I nearly always step in if I see there could be a problem. I have been lucky I guess there was only one actual brawl and he was so embarrassed by being decked by a 72 year old he got up and ran leaving a blood trail. Edit......... it was a polish lady that was being abused......
I’m the opposite to you then, unless it’s someone I know I’ll ovbiously step in , but if it’s just some randomers I’ll happily walk on and let them kick the crap out of each other. Knowing my luck I’d get involved one of them would crack their head on something and I’ll be on a manslaughter charge. Quite a sad way of looking at it but that’s the reality of the world we live in these days.
Fair enough...... it just so happens I have done a lot of work with the Europeans including an awful lot of Polish. I did not know the lady but I wasn’t going to stand by and see her physically and verbally abused. Mind you in truth I guess it wouldn’t have mattered what nationality. I couldn’t just stand by when it was male against female anyway.
Your free to do as you wish and it’s nice to know there is people like you out there that are prepared to get involved , kind of restores a bit of faith in mankind. But from my experience the people that jump into help are usually the ones that get stabbed or end up on the murder charge for doing what was percieved as “the right thing to do”.
Again fair enough........never been frightened of knives (forces training I guess) been attacked twice with knives in Manchester. The first knife attackers timing was way off. I had just completed 10 weeks unarmed combat training. The knife ended up stuck in his back side. I was on leave from the training when the first attack happened. He went down for three years. I guess the other thing is I never would throw the first punch.
