Strangely I thought the ref came over as a 'nice guy' checking players well being and arms on shoulders, but is that what you want when you have some of the cynical stuff Watford were producing. Some of his decisions were extremely poor such as the penalty and the treatment dished out to Rose and Lucas. The pundit on my commentary even said the foul on Lucas was a good idea because he would have been away if they hadn't brought him down. <steam> I find that outrageous at it wasn't even questioned. Some of this game recalled Pullis too much for my liking. It's a good job we won.

    No.

IMHO we are going to suffer a month of yesterdays' game.
So people with dicky tickers should probably go on holiday til March.
Forget the GD, or the silky football, it will be all about attrition wins.

"and is that the goal which makes Llorente come of age in a Spurs shirt?"

Hope so (if only for the Dortmund and Chelsky games) .

I think we just need to get past the game at the weekend against Newcastle. Then we have 8 days to get the likes of Son rested and ready to go again before our next game.

Sure, people will come to Wembley and try and frustrate us, as they have always done, but we just need to keep plugging away. If Llorente can continue to improve on his buildup play then he’ll be a real weapon against those teams, he almost put Son in once or twice last night before the goal, and his ball to Jan was excellent as well. He just is not as clinical as Harry is (you can say that for most strikers tbf) so crossing practice please lads!

I was also pleased to see Poch show some ambition last night at HT bringing on Moura, who had a real impact. He’s been too slow to act in the past especially in games like that, I hope it’s a sign he’s learning.

I fully agree...but Aurier was soooooo bad he was making my eyes bleed. Something had to be done. There was a bloke in front of me who spent the entire time screaming abuse at Aurier, Foster and the referee.

Unless he was ill, I don't think we'll be seeing Serge Aurier again for a while.

Aye he was gash. What have Spurs done to deserve two terrible performing RBs at the moment? What goat have I got to kill to undo the curse?

I've never got why people do this.....isn't it the football equivalent of keying your own car?

Correct, because after FT their sad little minds had to "sit" in what
they dumped out prior to the 1-1, all the way back home.

More than anything else it soon lets you know who the reactionary dullards are, for example JyThis features in the lunatic fringe roundup for the Fulham and Watford games, while ****ssoko is a Harry ****espout wannabe who I've highlighted the toxic dickheadedry of a few times this season

That second half was great. I was bloody frozen at half time but walked away as warm as toast. Seeing the players celebrate those goals was well worth the trip...that and how crestfallen Foster was...<laugh>

My understanding is that Foster realised Watford had lost
2-1 about 30 seconds later than the ref and our ballboy did.

He got to play the ball once after we scored. A huge cheer went up when he played it in double quick time. It'll go alongside Inter doing the same thing as one of the treasured moments of the season....if only the Germans had a word for it...
