The really sad thing is that the elite make up both sides: Rees Mogg, Johnson, etc etc are hardly not the elite. They’re about as elite and privileged as it gets. So even on one of the questions where real people feel most passionately, their choice of who to voice their feelings is one **** vs another ****, with nothing to distinguish them and very little to convince you they believe most of what they say, whichever side they fall on.

If we crash out with out a deal and fall on WTO rules then we have to collect and pay tariffs for goods - again we can waive them but under favoured nation rules we’d have to do this for everybody which causes a different set of problems for home producers.
The majority of us and the world have moved on since 1975. Again you can pitch to people let’s vote to go back to a time when we had a much more limited, more expensive range of food available and a lot less options on when and how to buy it but strangely I didn’t see that on the side of the bus.

Let’s see - you’re the EU you’ve spent 18 months negotiating a deal and then have had to accommodate a backstop requested by Theresa May (that you didn’t want) only for her to turn around less than a year later to vote against her own backstop. I think it’s pretty easy to understand why the EU have had enough of this bullshit.
To be fair they’re also being asked to enact something that was impossible. The electorate was told Vote Leave and you’ll get a unicorn. The electorate turned round and said yes we want a unicorn which is of course impossible. So when Theresa May tries her best and turns up with a donkey with a melting ice cream cone for a horn and tries to pass it off as a unicorn then unsurprisingly everyone is pissed off. No side of this campaign came off well, def blame on both sides but politicians are having to deal with the problem of trying to do something that’s impossible; leave the EU and not suffer financially whilst doing it. On the one hand politicians have to try and respect the referendum on the other hand they have to decide whether to vote to consciously make the country poorer. Not easy especially when the vote was only called so that pig ****er could try and win an election.
And even I’m aware how sad it is that I’m in a lovely hot country (full of foreigners) on holiday still debating all this **** when all I wanted to do was log in here to see if there was any Dan James news.... Think you need a rethink on your WTO rules,the USA are in the process of stopping all WTO rules world wide and by the end of this year it will have to be replaced.If we don't enforce a rule,they have such a big backlog that it will never get sorted.
Funny that,the rest of the world,not in the EU don't have a limited more expensive range of food available.In fact EU country's have some of the dearest food sales in the world,due to forced EU tarrifs making much of our food imports much dearer to support French farmers.
