It all happened the other way around didn't it? We went ahead at Watford and they came back to win 2-1 and this time they went ahead and we came back to win 2-1, it happens. That was a very good and very important win because Watford were on the up and I stand by my statement that we missed Son more than we will miss Kane. Phew, well done my Spurs.
We were excellent in the second half...they barely got out of their half. Really pleased for Llorente. .had a good game apart from THAT miss! Son was outstanding. Eriksen did well but please can we take him off free kicks and corners? Excellent substitution at ht from Pochettino ... we were immediately more dangerous and simply wore them down. The ref was an absolute disgrace imho. The club should complain about him. There was a bizarre play on decision when Moura was surrounded ... the ref actually waved play on... Moura wriggle free and the the ref blows for the foul when he is in a far more dangerous position. There were blatant fouls ignored and at one point I thought he lost his yellow card. Watford trying to rush and complaining about time wasting was fantastic Hope one of our players calls deeney and co bottlers like that graceless dick did to us earlier in the season...great round of fixtures for us ... can't wait for Saturday ... got a ticket ... Am buzzing COYS
Must admit I thought the ref was all right, he seemed pretty keen on trying to keep play flowing and only blew for a foul when completely necessary, I prefer that to refs who blow for every single little niggle as it halts the game too much. As for the game, thought Son, Rose and Moura when he came on were really good. Despite two disastrous misses before his goal, Llorente proved to be quite a handful as well and was involved in some nice bits of play. He helped with our first goal too. On the whole, despite a huff and puff performance we still didn't really test Foster that much but we definitely deserved to win the game, that second half has been our best half of football for a good few weeks.
If it takes complaining about the manager, the players and some of the fans to motivate them.....damn it! I'll do it again!
I wonder if the experts on MOTD will give as much attention to penalty claim for the foul on Moura as they do for the one on Mane.
Not really...... Better certainly and facing Watford and Ref, but appalling delivery of most crosses, free kicks and corners. Room for improvement and hope the result doesn't paper over the cracks of the first half and the last few games. We're still in the mix. Let's not eff it up, lads
Apart from the finishing I thought we were excellent in 2nd half. Mixed play up, played wide on both wings, got stuck in and played with a bit more speed and purpose
And the crossing... I lost count of the opportunities Rose had. Ironic that the one decent ball he put in led to the winner.
It was definitely one of our better halves in recent weeks but for all the possession we had we didn't really test Foster that much I felt. Goals aside, it was only really Nando's two missed chances that I can think of that troubled Watford.
Never in a zillion years! Danny B & Greavsie are the two loves of my Spurs life but with many other 'crushes' in between.
The ref was appallingly inconsistent in my view. Rose and Moura were kicked stupid and were given nothing yet they were consistently given free kicks for falling over like pissheads on a booze cruise.
That foul on Moura in the box was as blatant a penalty as you will ever see, what did the referee think happened as Lucas was flattened from behind. We`ve not had a home PL penalty since April 2017, something is not right there, most of them being waved away are not even debatable either.
