Slightly ambivalent about the result. The defence is no longer the wall that it was, but it's been chopped and changed so much it would be hard to keep the focus up. Keita has been such a disappointment, I think everyone thought we'd signed a world beater, obviously early days but he looks lost. Fab on the other hand has surely become our main man in midfield, we look so much better with him on the pitch. Need to keep him fit. Now I very rarely moan about the referee but I'm in the astro camp tonight, that was a shocking performance. All said and done still five points clear.
Hendo did well as make shift RB and Mane looked like he really wanted it - the rest just couldn’t be ****ed with the conditions I don’t think. Disappointing
Ref was rubbish, but also probably our worst home performance this season. Can't wait to get VVD and Gomez back as our centre back pairing. On the bright side we are 1 further point ahead of City.
He was ****e from start to finish, not bias but his poor descion making effected us more than Leicester.
I get what your saying but not blaming ref We were awful That was a nervous team Not a team that believes - so don’t try to convince me to believe when we show up like that. #fallenoffthewagon As I have said for a long time City will grind us down Would not be surprised to see spurs sneak up but admit that unlikely. We still have 3 - 4 games where we could easily lose Klopp has work to do This will have reenergised City and they have the experience Not over by long way yet Plus side It nice to still be in it and 5 clear
****in Robbo with a daft challenge for the free kick as well. Then everyone switched off. So ****ing frustrating.
Because of his lack of urgency during the whole game it looked like he tripped himself. The lino should have seen it though. He has the skill but wants 10 mins to think
Surely it was a dive..... he's a foreigner after all.... I mean he actually windmilled his arms to hit the ground faster....no England player would do that....they'd levitate to stay on their feet!
some quick thoughts before i'm off for some kip Mane was only forward who looked dangerous Shaqiri was totally anonymous Henderson ok at FB but Matip & VVD seemed more interested in being MF playmakers than defenders. On the big decisions thought yellow was right for the Maguire/Mane incident (naturally i shouted "Red Card" at my laptop ) but the Keita/ ricardo one was a deffo pen made worse by the fact the ref had the best possible angle to see it. Still managed to increase lead but the sooner we get Gomez Taa back the better.
Gomez is so important to our back four, matip is weak in the challenge and prone to go for a wander, lovren will look good for 3 games then have an absolute mare. However thought Henderson was good at right back, handled grey and allbrighton with out an issue.
With the way we were playing second half we might still have conceded. Called it earlier, Mane never hides from a big occassion. Salah was the biggest dissapointment should have taken responsibility and driven at them
