I know I know, it’s more that he’s had 10 days with this lot and you would have expected a much higher level of performance than this, especially against Palace at home. After 10 games we are still capable of putting out some dross that looks like a relegation candidate to me.
It's not working but they are pretty wasteful so could be worse. Not good when Pierre is having all our shots again. Jack's was only a yellow.
Palace good value for the lead right now. We’re lacking a bit of attacking spark. Ralph needs to get into them a bit at half time. Need to get the ball to Redmond more.
Was expecting that tbh. Theyre on form too and their style just counters ours. Always going to have trouble breaking them down and avoiding the counter. we're making too many errors at the back and i think we need to be trying to win more corners and set pieces. going to have a hard time scoring from open play with how much they are packing the midfield and our weaker fullbacks. definitely need to cut out the stupid mistakes and put more off the ball runs when attacking though.
Palace are a yard quicker than us to every challenge, we do not have that quickness moving from defense to attack today, almost like someone hit the rewind button on the game plan and went back to pre-ralph, we have not been totally out played but we need to step it up second half or this could be over mid way through. Need Ralph to get then to raise their game,
Need to change formation to a flat back four and bring on either Long (Redders out on left) or Armstrong in middle of midfield with Redders left and JWP right to help with Zaha
