Absolutely cracking day out yesterday - sport at its finest. A huge crowd at Sandown, watching top class NH racing. The weather changed half way through the afternoon to torrential rain, leaving the ground heavy. Nevertheless, the brilliant Altidor (pictured below) sluiced through it with the minimum of fuss. You can see from the Big Screen just how dark it was there yesterday at 3pm.

I withdrew £250 at Waterloo and came home with a tenner.
