most of the bands i listen to started out in the 80's. Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera etc. Great films too. I don't usually agree with you Huth, but you're spot on this time.

ok, it wasnt everybodys cup of tea ( t ) but i think the point , well one of the points, was that black people can rock. they played a couple of pretty decent Hendrix covers, so fair play to them.

however, being one of the very few white guys at the gig, amongst some very angry young black fellas, was pretty intimidating.

that said, although there seemed to be some animosity towards us, there was no trouble and we were free to rock out with them and by the end of the gig, all was cool.

anybody wanting to get a feel for Body Count, you tube Body Count, Born Dead.

    pretty much sums them up.

70s music - Led Zeppelin, Free, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Hawkwind, T Rex, Slade, David Bowie, Donna Summer, Candy Staton, Roberta Flack, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, The Stranglers, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Aswad, Bob Marley, Junior Murvin, the f*****n list is endless.

How can the anaemic, naff, style free 80s compare to that? Spandau f*****n Ballet ffs.

YOBG Wham is your favorite, being a raging **** <laugh>

80's brilliance had some of the best music, and the bands at their peak were phenomenal:
    Iron Maiden
    Motorhead
    Ozzy
    Judas Priest
    Europe
    Van Halen

I could go on forever, but some of this music was far and away the best we have ever heard. **** the Beatles <grr>
