No anger, no hatred, just contempt. He calls me a blue sheep, he hates brexiteers, he’s a typical left wing champagne socialist and wether he is right or wrong if you don’t agree with him, he classes you as a moron. In fact I would even go as far to say he’s our own little Owen Jones.
I always meet up with posters on here and never talk politics. Everyone has a valid point and politics has always been divisive. I can post on the politics thread and get into a heated debate then talk QPR on another thread with the same person and not worry about the other thread. If posters take things seriously maybe they should not post on forums.
Agreed, I think the only person on here who’s hand I wouldn’t shake or in fact talk to face to face is DT, as I imagine he is probably as obnoxious and condescending in real life as he is on here although I would like to be proved wrong.
I blocked him before Christmas because he was spouting rubbish. Sadly his life is so fab in France he spends all his time on here.
Yes, as I say, there are a number of factors to be considered by government. Manufacturing jobs come high, but so does carrying out a democratic vote and all that entails (independence and independent courts, sovereignty of Parliament, controlling borders, avoiding cynicism and apathy among voters, not giving fuel to the far right etc...)
The problem is bob Turkish has a point. He is so caught up in his 'FrenchEurolovingworld' that you can't really debate with him.
These ones voted for Brady Ian Austin (Labour), Dudley North – Aye Sir Kevin Barron (Labour), Rother Valley – Aye Jim Fitzpatrick (Labour), Poplar and Limehouse – Aye Mr Roger Godsiff (Labour), Birmingham, Hall Green – Aye Kate Hoey (Labour), Vauxhall – Aye John Mann (Labour), Bassetlaw – Aye Graham Stringer (Labour), Blackley and Broughton – Aye 14 voted against Cooper.
ActuallyI have met DT and (imho) you are wrong Turkish, he is completely straightforward and not condesending or obnoxious when I met him. He is not the way you think he would be. I think a lot of us on here have personas that are not completely what we are like in real life ( No Kiwi, lets not go into Vern the lorry driver again).
Latest: Sky poll 27% want mays original deal 34% want backstop removed deal 39% want No deal What did I tell you
Here’s an alternative to the current backstop. Give the Northern Irish what they voted for in the referendum, or as close as we can, by letting them stay in the Customs Union (and single market if they want) and put the invisible magical technological borders between them and the rest of the UK., after all it is really easy and ready to do now. Oh, can’t do that, the Scots, London and Leamington Spa will want it too.
My point earlier is that I listen to the radio phone-ins everyday and I have noticed that more and more callers (from all walks) want to just leave on WTO. Even Junker has just said "Risk of no deal has increased as result of Commons vote". I think people need to get real. Cooper and co can't/won't just go for another amendment like last night. That boat has sailed. When TM gets back from her EU meeting in 2 weeks, (with or without a deal). MP's won't dare vote against her while she is in the final stages. It ain't gonna happen. She would have told Jezza today to support her and she will leave the EU on March 29th. He wants out more than me FFS!
