The race doesn’t look particularly strong in terms of pace, Alabaster probably has the gears to quicken against this field. Therefore I wonder if they will try to make all with Chocolate Box, however even if they do I think Red Royalist will atack early enough make it into a decent last two furlongs. If they go a crawl I’d be backing Alabaster or Markhan in running. If they don’t I’d be with Red Royalist or Moon Of Baroda in running.
112 entered in the 2019 GN, team. Including my personal pick old boy The Last Samuri. Good, good. But The Lieutenant has entered just 2, in contrast to Gord Elliott who has put 22 in! Them being Kilcrea Vale (who won’t even run as he’s Topham bound) and Valtor.
lingfield,1 50: NARJES and global wonder were separated only by a neck last time out, where the latter held sway, but laura mongans 5 year old mare comes out marginally better treated today,so she might well turn the form around here..
Same as Oddy, got a horrible bug on me and then we had the birth of our first little fella last Friday, i had to wear a mask holding him so now he thinks his daddy has a really important job like a surgeon!!Boardwalk Empire was a good watch, love the opening theme tune.Watched one recently on Netflix which I enjoyed called The Last Kingdom, similar enough to Vikings.Ps why do they portray Vikings so softly spoken when their hard as nails, I would have expected them all to be gobby loud mouths!!
Congrats Ste The only slight problem I have with Boardwalk Empire (and I admit it is of my own making), is that I find it hard to be convinced by Steve Buscemi as the big mafia boss. For me he will always be the hustling gobshite he so wonderfully portrayed in Fargo. I don't like pigeon-holing actors but I always have this image of him with his ear shot off .............................. hmmmm. Is it just me or was he mis-cast in Boardwalk Empire? I just can't buy him as the ruthless head of a crime empire. The lad who plays Al Capone, on the other hand, is class. A real brutal fella.
Yeah I can see where you are coming from with that one Oddy, doesn't come across as to ruthless!.Ive been saving the Wire for a few years now, might get stuck into it soon enough.
well,a good start to the day for me. lingfield,2 20: SIMPLE THOUGHT has been rather frustrating so far,but she d be a really deserving winner here, and has, compared to some others, lots of experience..
On the GN, is the handicapper going to be brave and greatly compress the handicap? Or are we going to have a massively lopsided race if BDM runs
Ah Jimmy McNulty ................... what a huge performance from one of Sheffield's finest I love this clip (don't worry, not a spoiler) - McNulty and Bunk visit an old crimes scene to see if they can find a new angle on whodunnit
lingfield,2 50: quite a tricky race, with three of the four being last time out scorers, and probably not that much between them, but i ll side with TREASURE ME here.she closed last year with a solid running on effort, and is quite fairly treated for that.
