We gave our second daughter an Italian spelling of an equivalent English name. She suffered no lasting effects except for the time a supply teacher sent her to the remove room for 'refusing to spell her name properly'. Well, we were down to two names; Orlagh and Vesper, and in the end, we went for heritage over James Bond. It might come back to haunt us in the future, but we can always have another child further down the line.
