£20m on an MLS player seems a hell of a lot. Imagine waiting over 15 years to break your transfer record for that ffs.
Exactly - its breaking a transfer record that has stood since Michael Owen signed in 2005! It is a bit of a risk - he is only about 4ft tall and weighs 63kg but its another player coming in so who cares.
Leicester win race for Tottenham target by Josh Wright at Wednesday, Jan 30 2019 07:54 please log in to view this image Leicester have agreed a straight swap deal with Monaco for midfielder Youri Tielemans that will see Adrien Silva move in the opposite direction, reports Belgian outlet HLN. Leicester manager Claude Puel has wanted to sign a new midfielder all month and has edged competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham for Tielemans' signature. The Belgium international was made available for loan by Monaco at the start of the week following Leonardo Jardim’s return as manager. Tielemans had a poor relationship with Jardim during the manager’s stint at the club earlier this season and is now on the cusp of a move to the Premier League for the rest of the season. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was willing to sanction a move for Tielemans if Mauricio Pochettino gave him the green light but they have not acted quickly enough. Monaco may not have sanctioned Tielemans’ departure to Tottenham anyway, as Leicester are giving them a player in return for the highly rated 21-year-old. Another 21 year old - and a quality player - happy with this if it happens
We apparently bid £20 mill for Tielemans but Jardim (new Monaco manager) is in tight with Jorge Mendes - who just happens to be Adrien Silva's agent ... we paid around £20 million for Silva - so this loan swap makes economic sense - hopefully with potential to make permanent if the moves work
Dier linked a couple earlier mate that you're definitely in for. Eni Juan was one of the names, looks like a decent young propect too.
Have to admit I was quite worried when Perisic was linked to Arsenal. He’s probably gonna end up in China now, weasel faced cumblob.
**** signings anyway, I'm just buzzing for another 4 or so months of Winks knocking it sideways. Boooom!
Would have been a cracking player to buy. But ****ing skinflint Arsenal can't even afford the loan deal.
