I saw his show in my local theatre where he just talks about his life. Started at 7:30 and ended at 11 (supposed to be 10:00). Have never laughed so much in my life. I'm a fan if that isn't coming across.
His autobiography is very funny, especially the story about how he was involved in a drive by shooting and took 2 in the arse. He also writes about his friendship with Gazza. Probably the best radio presenter that this country has produced barring Kenny Everett? Superb in tandem with his old NME mate Danny Kelly. I thought that he was everything that Northerners hate about Londoners?
He started BBC 606 , the best football show ever, he would not let managers or owners on the show only the fans, I remember the story about the hand grenade thrown on the pitch at a millwall game in the 60s, ref stopped the game and some old boy walks on with a fire bucket of sand, he put the grenade in the bucket and walked off with it at arms length, red blew the whistle and they played on
Danny Kelly did my favourite goal news flash ever https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...wwAHoECA0QAw&usg=AOvVaw1PwsX1Yj7sdfy9kNIeCXCo
Sitting in a French Motorway service station having slept in the car. 12 inches of snow. Ugh!!! The French know how to make coffee though, 1 euro eighty from a vending machine, as good as Starbucks.
Always worry a bit about deedub, as I periodically encounter reports that Ebola is up and running in parts of Congo.
How's this for dumb. I once drove all the way to Munich to surprise a lady friend. The surprise was on me. She wasn't there. She had gone skiing over the weekend in Austria......then I got caught in a blizzard coming back and had to sleep in my car at a rest stop! She nearly died laughing when I told her!!!!!
Talking of dumb, this is how a driver in Scotland thought he'd be safe on the roads Dingbat https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47027762
