Rumours that Hoffenheim and Gladbach are looking at joining in with the "let's buy an Englishman" trend and are interested in Onomah.
If Pochettino wants him, there should be no problem on transfer fees. The only issue could be wages, but I doubt Leicester would be offering squad-shattering wages to the guy (therefore it would also be so for Spurs) .
I've seen it suggested he's on £95k a week at Monaco, which would put his wages right in the middle of what Moose was earning and what Rabiot's expecting
£95k a week isn’t big money anymore If the fee is £25million and wages are under £100k then we should be going all out if Poch wants him.
---------- boss -------- is reluctant to recruit ------- reinforcements, despite injuries to ------ and -------. He does not want a bloated squad once injured players, including ------- and ---------, return to fitness. "We have enough players,, in the squad," he said. "Only we're having a lot of injuries and a lot in this position. "If we can bring another player and when all the players want to play, we can have a lot of trouble in the future." Blanked out or highlighted as this is a quote NOT from Poch but goes to show the problem that not only Spurs are facing and all those that say we have to strenghten because players are out injured. Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reluctant to recruit defensive reinforcements, despite injuries to Sokratis Papastathopoulos (ankle) and Laurent Koscielny (jaw) in the FA Cup defeat by Manchester United on Friday. He does not want a bloated squad once injured defenders, including Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding (both knee), return to fitness. "We have enough players, centre-backs, in the squad," he said. "Only we're having a lot of injuries and a lot in this position. "If we can bring another player and when all the players want to play, we can have a lot of trouble in the future."
More than that, we need to get the Belgian contingent back up to three ...nobody tell Jonathan De Bie I said that
There is no direct squad equivalent for Dembele. Therefore the squad is deficient, regardless of who is to return from injury. Therefore, if Tielermans is : - an equivalent/peer - has a fair amount of a playing career still ahead of him - is not another injury crock (in general or right now) - is not a merc wage slut or squad disruptor then he should be considered, IF Pochettino RATES the player.
Barrios Watch Boca Juniors manager Gustavo Alfaro has said Barrios will be leaving the club, outright stating that the reason Boca have signed a couple of midfielders this summer (which it is in Argentina right now) was to cover the expected departures of last season's pivot of Barrios and Nahitan "not a typo" Nandez while also balancing their foreign quota Tielemans Watch Kristof Terreur has suggested that, rather than selling Tielemans outright, Monaco are more interested in loaning him out for the remainder of the season - which, as the lunatic fringe will tell you (no matter how many times you tell them they can go back to licking your windows if it stops them yelling through them) is right in Levy's wheelhouse as it means not having to pay for a player. Other than loan fees and wages, but that's not important right now...
If it's a loan with an option to buy I could see Poch going for it, as that's six months to gauge whether Tielemans can perform in the role as well as find out how high his ceiling is in training Meanwhile... Rabiot Watch Time for this hour's update, and this one's a real doozy: his agent/mother has stated that her client/son has not refused our offer nor offers from any other club - as her son/client is not interested in discussing his future right now as the Rabiot family are currently in a state of mourning due to two bereavements, one of whom being Rabiot's father (as mentioned previously in regards to Aurier tagging Rabiot in an Instagram post the other day)
Tielemans isn’t highest on my list despite being talented but there’s two choices of who to leave out should we sign him: Vorm, because well, three first team keepers is unnecessary. Wanyama, because he’s yet to prove his fitness over the past 18 months.
So when no new signings arrive when Thursday's deadline has passed who wil be; A) the angriest mo fo on here? and B) who will be the the most laid back hippy tart? For me the answer to A is gonna be @Spurlock ... he will rage like something out of Mean Girls for a couple of hours solid before going for a huge spliff. The answer to B is more complicated. @"Thanks for that Brian" Will be as equally chilled as @Spurf and @PowerSpurs but once the spliff kicks in @Spurlock will become the chillest man in town. @Dier Hard will be rocking in a corner cos his one true love is still whoring himself out at Villa
Got it spot on Colin On a real...I'm expecting no signings...it's @Dier Hard you need to be ready to support on Thursday...he's still an optimistic fool.
I think it is very likely that those players have contractual clauses that require them to be in the squad whilst on the payroll. If I was a player I would insist on that to avoid the club messing me about. They could hardly refuse. Poch has said many times that we need to create squad places before we can sign people.
