I wonder what Bill would do if he saw his beloved Spurs players today passing sideways, backwards, sideways and the to the goalie....most of the time......and,from a corner kick, two passes and the ball arrives at his own goal.....?
He would be too polite to utter some of the cursing that came from my mouth last thursday on this very topic. Perhaps something akin to the basketball halfway line rule should be introduced.
Another club failing to take responsibility for their fans racist chanting... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47033129 ... this time it's Millwall (what a surprise!). I support their policy to ban anyone caught for life, although I wonder whether they will put any more actual effort into it than Chelsea. Alongside this commitment is a collection of weasel words, which can sit alongside Chelsea's horror at use of the word "Yid" whilst taking no action against chanting about Auschwitz and Hitler... "There is a rise in racism, so you will never win this, because there are always people who aren't educated. "This isn't just a Millwall thing, this happens across society. You try and tell me there hasn't been this sort of chant at another club this season in this country - I won't believe you. "It's an issue that is out there in society. We will take responsibility for our guys, but let's find a way to try and work together to find different solutions to get this education piece across." Society's problem...Who would have guessed?
Unsavoury chants at Fratton Park on Saturday apparently. Pompey fans chanting about hoping Harry Redknapp and Jermain Defoe die of Aids.
It's not just a Millwall thing, but it's very much more of a Millwall thing than anywhere else. They were singing, "I'd rather be a Paki than a Scouse", on the weekend. You'd see violence and mass walkouts at other clubs.
Millwall aren't fooling anyone but themselves. Everyone knows their record on this and saying that supporters of other clubs do it too, is the response of a 7 year old child.
They're also avoiding the subject of the Everton fan whose face got slashed, which as everybody knows is Sadiq Khan's fault somehow...
I thought Millwall had calmed down over the years! Seems like yesterday the Millwall fans were trying to get to visiting fans That was a second div game between Charlton v Spurs Div 2.We lost that day 4-1 and an ex Spurs man got 3 of them.
He is one of the good guys though. He'll hate the bigotry as much as any of us. A Millwall fan for reasons of geography and family
