Sounds like we'd be in with a good shout, we can offer him game time and if he already knows and likes Ross why would he go elsewhere. Agreed it does sound like a loan.

If he helps get us over the line, I can live with a loan.

A promotion and playing regularly in front of 40,000+ crowds may turn his head come the summer?

    IF WE SIGN HIM !?!?!

Yeah one quality loan could make all the difference, no idea who this lad is but Celtic are far above league one standard imo so fingers crossed. Scanning his wiki page he's got a few goals in him unlike Sinclair who has scored a whopping one goal in his senior career.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that SAFC have made a move for Lewis Morgan: "There is an interest from Sunderland and from Jack, and there's one or two other clubs interested. I believe that getting regular game time is going to be absolutely important for him so that move with hopefully take place for him. It's just a case of finding a club, because there's a couple of good clubs in for him, but finding the right club that gives him that game time. Of course, it's up to the player as well. We can advise, but the decision is with the player. Especially at that age. He's not 16,17 or 18 where you're sort of shepherding down a route. He's in his early 20's, he's man enough now and all you can do is present the options to him and ultimately it's up to him where he's going to play."

Jack Ross on the tactical importance of Lewis Morgan to his St Mirren team. Might give you some insight into what Ross thinks of him and what he’s capable of. https://t.co/QCPtxuraJu

Daily Record says he is choosing between SAFC & Aberdeen. Barry Ferguson urges Lewis Morgan to follow in Ryan Christie’s shoes and go to Aberdeen on loan.

I'm hearing nothing but good things about this lad.. SSN say he is due for a medical.. Now all we need is a striker and even the most negative fans should be happy..

Without a new striker? I'd be happy with a place in the play offs

New (and good) striker or 2, I'd be very optimistic for a top 2 finish

If nothing else it should give Mcgeady and Gooch a kick up the arse. Those 2 have done nothing for a good 4 or 5 weeks now when in reality they should be burying teams in this league.

I think it's cause opposing midfields are taking advantage of our nonexistent midfield giving them an easy ride and giving their fullbacks extra cover(give our tactics revolve around our wide men). Grant and Honeyman should stop this from happening giving our wide men a new lease of life with a bit more space to operate. Maguire has struggled too. For the same reasons. Our wingers have been nulled since Honeyman got injured, our only attacking advanced midfielder. It's no coincidence.

Having trouble thinking of who our best starting 11 would be if we do get Morgan and, say, Eaves in.
    Presuming no injuries
    3-5-2 ?
    4-5-1 ?

    Gk

    O9, Dunne, Flanagan, Hume

    Leadbitter

    Watmore, Gooch, honeyman, Morgan

    Eaves

Bench: gk, James, Baldwin, catts, maguire, kimpi, Wyke

What to do with Matthews, McGeady, mcgeouch....

It's simple. Go back to a 4-2-3-1 (or approximately- written formations are never the same as what happens on the pitch) with Honeyman as the number 10 and Morgan and Gooch (in rotation with Watmore, Maguire and McGeady) as the wide players. You can take your pick of the other two midfielders, but the best thing would be to base it on the opponent. Different combinations will give you different things. The concept of a best 11 is (or should be) outdated in what is now a squad game but, for me, Honeyman is the key player for us.

Leadbitter is a box to box, wouldn't want to waste him sitting. Don't want anyone sitting personally. I want us to start ruining teams

    ......................Gk
    Mathews Flan Dunne James

    Gooch O'Nien Leadbitter Morgan

    ...............Honeyman

    ...,...........New Striker

    That's mine.
