Ah i see, makes sense i suppose. Although I still dont think any games have been called off due to snow for a while, anyone know the last time it happened?

 

I'm fairly certain an Arsenal game was called off once. Actually that may have been due to tube strikes.

 

I’m sure Crystal Palace was the first ever game that got called off at St Mary’s, some years ago now. That was due to being unsafe around the ground.

I remember panicking that Wigan could be called off when halfway up there.

I think the last one down here due to snow etc. was in league one wasn't it?

 

Yes I remember when I was slipping and sliding up the A34 "this better not be ****ing called off".

 

I still have fond memories of the Birmingham away match in the Championship. Really important game later in the season, where we were holding an auto spot and they were not far behind (or something like that), and it devolved into a complete ****show. Piles of snow everywhere, ball would scarcely move, and it was hard to see what was happening on TV owing to either the snow or fog. Really took the tension out of things when it became clear that there wasn't a chance in hell of anyone scoring a goal.

Edit: just looked up the stats from that match. We had 60% possession; we took one shot. Total.

 

Oh yes I went to that one! It was ****ing cold!

 

So did I, it took us 4 hours to get home.

Edit: championship game, PL ground and may have had more to Do With Derby having lots of injuries!!

It was called off due to the amount of snow around ground. It was bad.

 

Lemina just posted a post-operative vid on Instagram saying “I will be back really soon”. Looked like his hand/wrist.

Having him back will create a lot of competition for the CM position

 

All of our immediate rivals have tough games tonight - could be a great evening without kicking a ball !

Yeah some tough fixtures there. Can see Fulham and Huddersfield potentially getting something from their games but they're further back anyway. If Cardiff, Burnley and Newcastle all lose that would be super please.

 

Just need to do out part then let the other pieces fall as they may.

 

Reckon Hudders will really fancy putting a bit of pressure po Silva tonight.
