i watched quite a bit of the acrington stanley v derby game from the comfort of a pub and i think we dodged a bullet there. Pitch was a mess and hopefully the extra few days preperation will give us an edge agst Palace
Excellent. Targetts injury can't have been as bad as expected. It looked like he jarred his knee. Be good to have Bertrand back on the bench at least.
looking at Ralph's eyes, I think a few good nights sleep may be in order. You don't have to win every game mate! (just the next 3!)
Senior moment and with Saha in my addled brain I actually had to google him to get his name right I was saying the other day to someone, with at least 15 regulars in each EPL team you have to try and remeber the names of 300+ players when talking football so its no surprise I lose one or two every now and then ... its worse when they're ours
Yes, we should be fresher and better prepared. Just hope snow doesn't prevent the game going ahead and we lose that advantage
Extremely rare that a premier league game is called off due to snow or ice. Dont think any were called off during the heavy snow last March. With heated pitches it would generally only be visibility that calls a game off these days, and it doesnt look to be due to be bad down our way anyway (famous last words)
Tomorrow will be a massive game but I think Palace will be difficult. If we win, we will go three points clear of them. Any team who finishes three points clear of Palace this season will be some distance away from the relegation zone. I would like to think that we will have out any threat of relegation behind us by the close of the next four matches.
It's less to do with the pitch more the safety of the fans. If police feel conditions are too dangerous they will request the game be postponed.
