Welcome to the tory state. I’m cutting down my can intake now by going from 10 cans of Carling a day to 8 cans of Sapporo. #goals
Best memory for me is how he handles himself in such an obviously tough working scenario to work in. It must be pretty soul-destroying coming in to work each morning knowing that you have an incredibly tough ask on your hands, and that you're not getting any where near enough support from your seniors. Individually, it'll have to be the Chelsea game at the end of last season - I watched it in a pub in South-West London, full of Chelsea fans, so much fun.
Nah, going down to work in the pits just to put food on the table to survive would be soul destroying. Not getting the financial backing by your boss whilst still pocketing thousands of pounds a week yourself would just be a minor irritation.
Thought that was a good memory, just saying The parasite Defoe lived there, saw his Range Rover driven to the door and him walking out, getting in and I guess driving to Sunderland.
Fans singing his name and telling him we wanted him to stay when we'd got relegated. And him listening. I was 100% sure he'd be off, and didn't blame him. I'm equally sure he'll be off this time, although I'd love to be wrong. Mainly because it would mean something had changed in the rotten state of the club, as you don't fool Rafa twice, even if he is a bit of a sentimental soul.
I remember spurs at home well. I remember shouting at The team ‘where The **** was this performance all season’. Then we serenaded Rafa. He shed a tear. Stayed. We had hope. We enjoyed football again.
Remember that time against all imaginable odds Rafa engineered it so we beat Man City at home? Good times....
